One of the ways Sim Settlements seeks to improve the immersion of your experience in visiting your settlements is by adding sounds to your game.

If you wish to have direct control over what Sim Settlements sounds are playing, these audio options allow you to change the volume level or completely turn off groups of sounds.

There are 6 sound groups you can control and they are "Global" in nature (will impact your sound experience in all your settlements)

How They Work: "Clicking" on one of these audio options will toggle to the next available option or activate/deactivate functionality.

Sound Groups

Background type sounds that loop to add a sense of atmosphere in and around a plot.

Dynamic Soundscape

Ambient and background sound effects in your settlements based on the plots you and your settlers build.

With dynamic soundscapes, the background and ambient noises will change dynamically to reflect the contents of your settlements so that Farms sound like farms, commercial hubs sound like busy markets, and industrial complexes are roaring with the sounds of industry.

Default: 100%

Machinery

Sounds of any machinery on a plot (e.g. industrial plots).

Machinery Ambience

Ambient machinery sounds, such as a generator hum.
