This is where you can control what on-screen notifications appear while you are playing.

How They Work: "Clicking" on one of these notification options will either toggle to the next available option or activate/deactivate functionality.

Overall Notification Controls

Message Display Type

Determine the type of on-screen notification(s) you will receive. This only effects the notifications options listed on this page, not all/other notifications from Sim Settlements.

Options: Corner (default) or Popup

Corner: Quick temporary message that displays in the upper left hand corner of your screen. Will close automatically after 1-2 seconds.

Popup: Shows up in the middle of your screen and stays there until you click an "OK" button.

Turn On All Notifications

Clicking this will switch all Plot and City notifications as well as the Tax Day notification to "ON"

This is for players who want all notifications possible. This only effects the notifications options listed on this page, not all/other notifications from Sim Settlements.

Turn Off All Notifications

Clicking this will switch all Plot and City notifications as well as the Tax Day notification to "OFF"

This is for players who want the least # of notifications possible. This only effects the notifications options listed on this page, not all/other notifications from Sim Settlements.

Crash Watch

This is only for PC players only (Xbox users can ignore). Sim Settlements watches for the workshop scripts to get stuck in a loop and warns the player if this is happening. Was originally designed to make sure Sim Settlements doesn't accidentally introduce an infinite loop, but incidentally checks for any mod doing so.

Options: ON or OFF

Tax Day

Let's you know when your settlements (they all have the same tax day) have made a deposit into their local workbenches as well as the number of caps that were deposited (in total, from all your settlements combined).

Options: ON or OFF

Plots and City Notifications

You can use these options to adjust your on-screen notifications so you just get the ones that are important to you. For instance, if you have 30 settlements going, you probably are going to get a lot of notifications and these options are going to come in really handy.

All of these have the same "ON" or "OFF" option. Either you get the notification (ON) or you don't (OFF).
