Sort of the same issue. I set up having Preston be the lead and after the cut scene noticed the quest wouldn't clear. Tried a few things before coming here. Did a reload from a bit earlier and tried setting up the beacon before assigning Preston the job and it still didn't clear, tried leaving, sleeping and quitting to restart the computer. I have 2 people who have come because of the beacon but no option to let Preston know. I'm going to stop here and play another character until I hear something.

I have used this with 4 settlements, (Sanctuary, Red Rocket, Tenpines Bluff and Sunshine Tidings co-op which is my first problem.

I have a couple of slight issues going on in Sanctuary and Red Rocket, but they have to do with what I've done to the settlement, nothing with this mod. This mod is, as usual, amazing. Thank you very much.

Are you dealing specifically with the Taking Point quest? If not we need more info (and should probably set up another thread).
If so, the latest beta patch 3.0.2b has a fix for Taking Point in it. Are you running that currently or are you on the latest release

Yes. The Taking Point is stuck in limbo. I've done it, put in the beacon, settlers have come but it still says I need to put up the beacon and invite the settlers. I have patch 3.01 for settlement so I'll get this one tomorrow and see how it goes and verify either way. Thank you.

I applied the new hotfix and Taking Point in Sunshine Tidings Co-op is still preventing the radio beacon from completing the quest.

save and then reload one more time and see if it completes for you. Technical stuff that boil down to the second mouse gets the cheese.

If you haven't already followed tankthings advice of restarting to complete the quest, please upload your save to dropbox for kinggath to look at in resolving the error.

The new patch took care of my problem. Thank you. I've decided Sunshine Tidings Co-op is my favorite settlement with this mod. Probably a large part is because I haven't done anything to change the settlement since I could use the houses and still build. I love it. Apparently I have very little imagination, so appreciate the ideas everyone who works on these puts into them. Thanks again for the fix.

The fix often requires a [re]load to trigger. Kinggath is looking into to making this work without a reload, but as there's a relative easy workaround, this is a low priority issue atm. It will most likely get fixed in some future patch. No promises when though.

Got this on Xbox1 before patch 3.0.2 however after updating Sim settlements to 3.0.2 and reloading my save the quest updated. Did not have to save and reload again.

Exactly. It's upon a load the fix trigger!
Why we say - save and load - is for when you're in the game and nothing you do seem to finalize the quest. Then you need to save and reload. Which is pretty much what you did. Although with some time in-between.

Interestingly, after I logged all the way out and back in again, TAKING POINT resolved. However, it cropped up again with the Zymonga (sp?) settlement. Also, weirdly, Mama Murphy won't sit in her chair now. That's never happened before in any of my many previous games. Not sure if its related.

Mama Murphy is a junkie you know... not heard anything of chair refusal related to SS. Have the chair been scrapped by SS city build?
The taking point quests should all have the same workaround atm. Kinggath is looking into fixing it fully.

Lol. Nope, I built the chair after the build. ROTC is the only thing that's different between this and all my other games. Can't see how it would be related, but then again, why would the quest for Taking Point break?

The issue with the taking point quests is only the build beacon part. To get around the charisma limit in the game, Kinggath redid the recruitment function. He takes over that function. Thus the building of a beacon don't reach the game engine => no quest completion. He made a fix, but it refuses to kick in without a load.

There's no known alteration of the lazy junkie chair though...

Hi guys, just an FYI. I hadn't visited Sunshine Tidings in my latest playthrough until today, although the initial quest to go and clear the settlement may have been there since before the patch, and I still had to do a save/reload to have it pass the check. I'm assuming this is normal if the quest could have existed pre-patch, regardless of the stage?

EDIT: grammar
