Hello, i have problem in Sim Settlements 2 with Workshop Framework. Im trying to assign Jake and Aiden to security and engineering, but i have strange error. It says "Workshop Framework Error. Unable to start barter menu system". I was looking for answer couple of hours, nothing founded. Also, i have download again and reinstalled Workshop Framework and still this message is displayed. I was trying to load older save games but it also didnt help. One thing i didnt tried yet is reinstalling SS2, but i dont think this will help. I have newest version of both SS2 and Workshop

if i had to guess, based on the very limited "no information" provided here, i'd suspect you have some other mod overwriting the WSFW script injections. and don't have the Workshop Framework Script Override Optional file at the bottom of your load order to fix those scripts.
by UFO4, i assume you mean UFO4P, the Unoffical Fallout 4 Patch, which does in fact overwrite the vanilla scripts and can cause this problem if it's below WSFW in your load order.
the point of the optional file is to fix up these scripts at the very bottom, after everything else that might have overwritten them is done overwriting them.

I use Workshop Framework Script Override Optional file nad UFO4P is above Workshop Framework. In these 2 pictures is my mod list, sorted by LOOT. A don't think i have some mods that could be cousing this error.

I would throw a red flag at scrap everything - it breaks precombines and that is bad - but that shouldn't be causing the issue you are having.

For non MO2 users:
Check for loose scripts in
If there are any Workshop<anything>.pex files, you will want to figure out what mod they are from and remove them.
(or just delete them and wait for issues to popup in the mod that requires them)
Loose files have the highest priority and will render the mentioned override patch useless.
For MO2, I don't know how it handles this. I would imagine it has some way to show loose files.

Ok, i looked in Fallout 4/Data/Scripts. There's nothing with Workshop in it's name. Also i disabled all mods not related to SS and still nothing. Now only thing im thinking of is reinstalling SS and WF. Or maybe loading older save but there is small problem. I only use Exit Save and Quick Save. Last save before them is in Vault 111. So in both cases i must start all game from the beginning.

Damn, i went here to find a solution to this exact problem.
I checked that WSFW was under UFOP, i put the override file a the very bottom of my load order (even under my Bashed patch) and still no way to make this.
I've checked all the advices on this thread and didn't find any Workshop{anything}.pex files ...
And of course all the 3 mods are up to date.

The dust and tumbleweeds accumulating in this thread is no good sign.
Either the bug is difficult to replicate, or it is difficult to pinpoint the cause ...
Either way we're stuck in the mud.
I have some limited knowledge in modding, and WSFW is way beyond my understanding to hope to find myself.
If i found anything to help i'll post it here.

Right now folks are focused on the upcoming release of Chapter 3. I cant help - Ive got a similar problem.

Oh, don't get me wrong, i'm not blaming anyone, far from it. With a bit of luck Chapter 3 will came with a update for WSFW and we will wish goodbye to this strange bug. That's all i hope.

Agreed. As much as this is a pain - I want chapter 3 to come out with as much shine as possible.

Same problem .
I have two game profiles on vortex ........
one game i am lvl 115 and HQ was built up ( Haven't touched that playthrough for 11 month's ....see image )
The other game i just hit lvl 100 and have arrived at HQ to go through how to HQ ( Current game ..... been playing 3 month's )
Both games have the exact same mods installed and both profiles are updated to the latest versions on every mod installed .
As you will see from the images , the old save from 11 month's ago is still working perfectly , the new game which i am currnetly playing is giving the Workshop Framework error .............. If both games are identical on mods , both updated to the very latest versions , how can the old 11 month old save still work but the new one gives an error ?

The two saves had truly identical mods (including versions) for the totality of their playtime ?
(No mods removed during the first before reaching this point ? And all that stuff ? No updated mods for the second save ?)
I may sound boring, but any bit of information helps

Identical mods for the entirety yes .
Not one mod removed from either playthrough .
The only thing I can think of is the old 11 month game has not been touched until today as you can see on the save image , so until I went on to check that save and ensure all the respective mod updates were the same on both playthroughs that game was static .... Meaning the mods hadn't been updated each time a new version was put out until the very latest versions of everything today ........ I don't know if it's possible that one of the workshop framework version updates between the one I originally had in the old save and the very latest which was updated today before loading that save has messed something up to give that new error message in HQ .
