Works as intended The Castle Radio Settler not counted towrds SS needs

So i am trying to set up the castle after just having cleared it, and i am running in to a bit of a nuisance that appears to be an oversight in to how SS is coded with this guy (although it is entirely possible it is a problem solely on my side cause i find it strange i have found no other mention of this problem).

This one settler is assigned to the radio, and it appears the vanilla game does NOT count him towards settler needs, he can not be commanded, moved or ordered to be anywhere else, but he has no food or water ro bed requirements it looks like. The settlere count is 3, but it is in the green with 2 water and food.
Now in SS, as you can see in the HUD framework he IS in fact counted for as far as SS is conserned, and because i can not assign him to a residential, n'or does the radio count as a job i can never fill those requirements for the castle.

So yeah, i don't know what's going on here, or why i have found no other mention of this bug, but it seems like it should be hardcoded in SS that whoever is assigned to that radio doesn't break the rest.

Regards,
Basher

I also had the same question a while ago, however, I messaged kinggath about it and due to having issues with that specific ai and Ronnie Shaw, they both can not be assigned to anything besides their vanilla posts. So to fix it you have to use beds count as homes and have two beds in Castle.

Ah, so set the settings to local only to the castle maybe? And i guess "all work counts as jobs" also works here?

yup, and if you build a little hut around the radio, you can plop both beds in there and not take up valuable settlement space in the rest of the place for freeloader beds.

Ronnie Shaw is a merchant anyway, so she has some use, the radio operator less so.

I don't have a problem with them freeloading, i just wanna max out all of my needs, towards the buildings upgrading.
So ideally these settlers could be coded to be exempt from the needs.
I have also noticed now that mamma murphy has become like this, that she can't be assigned or controlled anymore. Luckilly she already has a house, but i can't make the lazy woman work anymore. I think it happened ever since i put down the quest chair for her, since then i can't assign her.

The vanilla game doesn't really consider Mama Murphy post chair quest, the radio operator, or Ronnie Shaw to be settlers. Of course, I think it barely treats Marcy Long as a settler, judging by how often she reassigns herself. :p I don't have Bunker Hill as a settlement yet, but I noticed a couple of kids marked as homeless settlers there by Sim Settlements so I suspect the issue for the mod is the inconsistency of how they are flagged in vanilla.

I just never get her the jet in the first place and tell her no more drugs... instant good little settler.

If she gets the chair you have to console move her to get her out of it, then pick it up before she plugs her butt back into it if you want to move her to a better out of the way location (in the water under the sanctuary bridge is fine with me) and she won't do anything else.
