A collection of 15 small Interior Residential Plots. All using Vanilla FO4 assets only. Each plot gives some personality and flavour to a settlers room. Great for filling rooms in Sanctuary etc.

I REALLY love this pack. I understand why creators like to do a ton, add a lot of things, make things complex and weird. But as an Xbox user, 15 plots for less than a MB that have their own style, are easy to place anywhere and can fit in many different types of city is a godsend.

Many people talk about what they consider a must have add-on for Sim Settlements but as far as I’m concerned, this is one I cannot envision myself not using. Ever.

Thanks @Irealys ! Always great to hear of people's experience using the pack. You may have inspired me to revisit it and make some more plots. :)

My pleasure. It’s a fact of life that flashy always gets more recognition than efficiency. But between the versatility, the variety and the size of the file, this mod deserve recognition.

As for your return to this mod, while I never would have expected this I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get excited to see this. At best I was hoping maybe someone reading this would see that if they did smaller, varied content it would get appreciated even if it might not be the talk of the site.

I’m sure the Fallout world will give you all the inspiration you need but if you get that “blank page” feeling feel free to reach out. I honestly see so many opportunities from small objects that could give a room a specific feel (like the right clothing on a coat rack) and it would be my pleasure to share them.

Very true....and I can relate. Back about a year and a half ago I started working and testing a mod that IceStormNG was building. We went from a couple outfits to a complete rebuild of Fallon's since then. It was a complete snowball. Started small and then got gigantic. Point is, we got ideas from everywhere on the Nexus to Pinterest and beyond.

One thing I could handle seeing is an SS mod dedicated to adding more levels to plots we already have. Things like automatic upgrades to basic needs after lvl 3. Less reliance on the player needing to recover somebody who has been kidnapped. I mean really.... the settlement has a massive defense rating with settlers assigned and somehow a couple goons manage to capture and sneak someone out of town except for a lone settler? Gimme a break.

Hey. After playing a little I am seeing myself thinking about your future plans for this mod and I think I’d like to make an official suggestion? I don’t like saying request because I feel really weird “requesting” that someone does free work for my enjoyment. But I digress.

I was thinking about a writer’s room. Something that could be for either Piper, journalists of the new bugle or even working for the magazine. Or just for people who write. It could be as simple as a bed, a desk chair and typewriter (or pen and paper) but could also go a few different ways.

If I could extend my suggestions, I think housing inspired by sim Settlements job plots is weirdly under-represented. Something like a janitor’s closet being both living space and a repository for his tools, same for a plumber (although I’ve seen some of these), barman, gardener, shopkeepers, etc. I haven’t even seen most of the advanced industrial but I’m sure there must be some interesting options in there too.

Anyway, keep up the great work, I can’t wait to see anything you’ll come up with.

Thanks and take care

@Irealys - Again No promises but I really like the way you are thinking. Will submit it it to the ideas queue and see what comes out. :)

I discovered sim settlements and your mod recently. I just installed your IS mod but I don’t see any of the new plots in my build menu. I’ve tried reinstalling the mod and reordering a few times to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. I hope I am not overlooking something completely obvious. My mod order is as follows. 3in1, intimate spaces, SSm, HUD, and cheat module.

Hi @Dugefreshness. A couple of questions to get started. Firstly, which version of the mod have you installed (.esp or .esl?). Sometimes with the esl version the mod manager does not enable it by default.
Secondly, IS plots will only appear as an available building plan when you place a SS interior residential plot down and you select which building plan you want to use.

I am using Xbox1. Not sure about esl/esp.
So the interior plot you use is still the 2x2?
I was under the impression this mod would make it easier to place plots in tight areas the 2x2 won't fit. Thank you for you speedy response!

Interior plots are smaller than 2x2. I have a settlement built of structures from other non SS mods, and depending on the walls inside, you can use a bunch of different interior plots for your settlers. There are apartments in one of the megapacks that will take a single unit per floor.
You can also build your own structure and set it up so each floor can have a single unit per floor. The thing is, I believe that you need a way for settlers to get into their plots. which usually means some kind of stairwell setup.

I'm just confused about placing a plot smaller than 2x2. The only plots I have available are 2x2. Are you saying, place the 2x2 and organize smaller plots in that space? I just downloaded the place anywhere mod. Maybe that will help.

Hope I can help you understand some..... IS plots are all interior plots. If you lay down say... a 2x2 foundation, you can place one, pehaps two on that 2x2. But it may not have any exterior walls like a normal structure.
And Place Anywhere takes a bit to learn. It uses F4SE as a prerequisite... I don't know if Xbox allows it.... if it doesn't, then PA will not work even if you have it installed.

Thanks @parrotheada1a ! 2 x2 and 1x1 usually refers to the size of the external plots which make up the bulk of SS add-ons. They are fully formed buildings with their own doors and roofs etc. Interior plots are a bit of a different size (kind of 2 x 1.5) and don't have roofs and walls generally. Designed to fit inside pre existing building. I designed IS with the houses in Sanctuary in mind. A full size internal plot would not fit into some of the smaller rooms in Santuary so I designed the IS plots to fit into those spaces. And as @parrotheada1a mentioned this works best with Place Anywhere but you can also rug glitch them into place as well from memory. ->

Oh and if you have only installed Sim Settlements by itself, and not the 3 in 1 then you won't have access to interior plots. You need the 3 in 1 version to enable interior plots.

Thank you for the responses. I really didn't have a problem with the interior plot mechanics. I thought the intimate spaces would be half size interior plots so I could try to fill the tiny rooms in sanctuary that cannot hold full plots. I guess I could jam the full plot in there and just use the intimate space to fill the portion of the plot that is actually inside of the room?

yes you can, i do this all the time.

No worries.Yes that is how the plots are intended to be used.

That's precisely how I used those. It doesn't fit every room in sanctuary but there are quite a lot of them where they are perfect for it. Also quite a few places outside sanctuary. Most of the settlements with interiors have places where these allow for smart use of space.
