Fallout 4 Creation Club is Now Live! (sort of), Officially Live Tomorrow

If you don't want to stir things up, fair enough; but I would need more concrete, verified information before I believe any random rumours.

That said, I believe the CC as it was launched it just awful, destined to go down in flames, and cause trouble for the modders who've been making Beth's games popular for years for free and Beth should perform a cranial-rectal extraction.

It's bad, like I tried to warn everyone it would be. And their next title will kill free mods completely.

For now at least Kinggath was smart enough not to hitch SS to F4SE. So at least his masterpiece is safe..

And that is how a money charged mods will compete with free - but locking them out. I think you are correct Jose.... my guess is the next title will have some sort of punk buster system to disallow "non-approved" Beth mods....

It will not go down in flames because it is designed for PS4 users. PC users are an after thought.

BTW ... ESO on YouTube goes through the creation club purchases as he bought them all so he can do his video... pretty entertaining.

Mods are absolutely not being loaded in alphabetical order. This guy is talking out his butt and just decided to repeat random hysterics without verifying anything.

" thankfully once I put all mods back in order and reloaded my save file, everything had been put to rights." He apparently didn't read this part. So, the Beta version of the CC scrambled mod load order the first time the game was run, so you have to put everything back where it belongs. Dumb, but it was a beta, it clearly got fixed before release, and honestly it's more an annoyance than the apocalypse this guy's predicting.

Well all I know is my past saves are all b0rked.
Im reaching for anything to explain why so I can fix it and get back to playing.
Im a game player not a developer. It pisses me off that I have to fix sh*t just so I can play it.

I haven't downloaded the patch or anything.... so I will just not do so personally and play with what I got for now... I have the latest version before CC... so, I don't know if I can provide a file for your guys or what files you would need... 1.9.4 ish I think... and using the latest F4SE before CC F4SE...

Haven't you checked your load order...? It seems like that would determine if it's the problem or not - and if somehow you *did* get hit with the scramble, putting everything back would probably resolve it.

If your load order is the same as it's always been, then I'm afraid there's no other way to get things working but to test things to try to get more details about the root cause.

Please confine all talk of sharing commercial executable code to other places on the net and not on this forum. It's not something anyone on this board wants to deal with the fallout from.

Folks, the world is not ending. CC may be the best thing since sliced bread was invented and it may be the death knell for Bethesda. The modding community existed before this game and will continue to exist long after this game has been consigned to the bargain bin. Bethesda has made it easy to mod their games to a certain extent and has profited immensely from doing that.

What we have here is the same old stuff that happens whenever a new patch comes out. Things need an update and often the mod creators need time to catch up. This is happening now and many patches are already available.

Yes, Creation Club is a controversial topic and I sincerely doubt the gaming community as a whole is looking at it and salivating right now. There's no killer content there, just what appears to be placeholders so Bethesda can say they've released it when they do their dog and pony show at PAX West.

We may get a ton more content announced or even delivered at PAX, but we need to wait and see.

In the interim, the mod authors are getting caught up and in the end, it's business as usual for us players and just another patch. Treat it as such, completely ignore the Creation Club and don't buy what it's selling and the problem evaporates on its own.

Hard to ignore the nearly 700mb of crap from items I didn't buy or the Creation Club spam that I need a mod to get off my screen. The way Bethesda implemented and launched the CC is inexcusably stupid. This isn't some indie studio with five devs. It's a multi-million dollar corporation that has been in the industry for decades. They can afford to focus / beta test things and they can afford to hire consultants.

Free modding isn't going away, but that doesn't excuse the sadness and failure that is the Creation Club. We all waited to see how it would launch and... this is what we got. Not some cool mini-stories that the modding community helped create, but mods made by modders that you pay for but totally isn't paid mods because that would be bad. And horse armor. FFS.

It's like they wanted to make the worst first impression possible.

Bethesda is going to get lynched at PAX over the CC.
