From Bethesda:

Fallout 4 Creation Club Now Live

Now there’s even more to see, more to do – and more ways to survive in Fallout 4. Creation Club is now in PC beta, and goes live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC tomorrow, with a collection of new official content including Hellfire Power Armor, a Prototype Gauss Rifle, and Chinese Stealth Armor. You can even space out in a special suit inspired by Prey… or gallop through the Wasteland in Giddyup-Buttercup inspired Horse Armor.

Featuring new items, abilities and gameplay created by Bethesda Games Studios and outside development partners – including the best community creators – Creation Club content is fully curated and compatible with the main game, official add-ons, and achievements. Currently available for Fallout 4, Creation Club will be coming to Skyrim Special Edition next month. All Creation Club content works on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. And of course, Mods will remain a free and open system where anyone can create and share what they’d like.

To celebrate the launch of Creation Club, Bethesda is offering all players 100 Credits to apply to Creation Club content. Additional Credits are available on PSN, Xbox Live and Steam. Your Credits will be transferrable and can be used in both Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition on the same platform for both Xbox Live and Steam. PSN does not support transferable credits between both games.

There is also a new patch for allowing Creation Club Access.

I honestly thought this was a fake and a joke. But I fear it's not.

Question: If a gauss rifle costs 5 bucks... what would something the magnitude of sim settlements cost? 5k? Holy crap.

I feel a bit bad for the mod authors who's work is now iconic for... this... :/

*edit* I am actually one of those weird people who actually thought it might get good. But they totally botched it. Again.

"Youve built a sandcastle out of your own feces" - Gopher
LMAO!!

"A Sucker is born every minute" - P.T. Barnum

The multitude of $$$ all over the Creation Club page is very telling

This is underwhelming on a whole new level. Hopefully they'll get some content in there very quickly that doesn't suck or already exist on the Nexus, otherwise what could have been something really good for the game is dead in the water.

The sandcastle quote is awsome, i can picture a retard with a silly cap with a propeller on the top messing with his own crap. lol

Bethesda alluded to doing this at their GDC 2015 mod talk. They're trying to be more like EA, making the bulk of their dollars with the crap they stuff into games and not the games themselves. MTX in games you already bought is kinda a thing now. Wouldn't be surprised if Fallout Shelter's lunch boxes make their way into the game and Skyrim gets similar dragon eggs. Actually, ESO isn't F2P and also has all sorts of MTX in it. Including everyone's favorite: gamble boxes.

I don't think Bethesda cares too much about what PC gamers are doing since they probably make most of their sales from consoles. The Creation Club is for console players. Especially if they finally get around to doing a mainland China console launch for Skyrim. That's another thing everyone and their mum has been doing for the last few years since the ban was lifted.

Mostly just disappointed to see Bethesda doing the same tired sleazy that seems so prevalent in the big game industry.

Oh and "hi", I'm new here.

It's disappointing. I don't think many expected it to be great... but one could hope that it would contain actual content (no, I don't think a damn gun is appreciable content). Had they launched the club with some kind of minor 'add-on' or even just a complete quest line that added to the story at a price point that made sense instead of $5 gun mods, I think the reception, and the prospect for the club content would be more positive. I'm unsure why anyone would buy a single gun for 1/12th the cost of a full triple 'A' title. Unfortunately, it makes what could be a positive thing 'appear' to be a money grab.... One has to wonder, if a gun is $5, what will they charge if someone wants to publish a quest add-on...another $70?

It's funny that they're charging for the Hellfire Power Armor.

It's been free on Nexus for a while now, and word is the Nexus version is better.

And for added irony, it's also available for free on Bethesda.net

Almost like the curators didn't do any research at all before putting it live and they didn't want to break their word about a summer release so they just grabbed some random crap and put it up.

Soooo... 2.1GB update included 681MB of assets... <edit> that's not really smart. <edit>

<Fixed to comply with forum rules. Sorry guys :blush >

Darnit. I forgot to turn off my steam update on my gaming rig. I have non-functional f4se now. :/ Well, I guess I'll be taking a break from fallout for a while, then. (I have roughly 270 mods. esp's merged together in groups by now... I can't find out what needs f4se and what doesn't)

Wait. What?

Glad I leave my laptop off net and offline to steam.... guess Beth f'd it up again? and other modder's had to save it by putting up 1.9.4 and interface?

So what you guys are saying is you jumped on a new Beth update without waiting for the forthcoming patches or hot fixes, or whatever???? (where's my small violin :)))) hahaha...

Seriously, I don't update to anything until it's at least out a week... even SS has hotfixs (sorry King - I only update SS and addon's about every 2 weeks - only limited hot spot for download and I can't keep up with all the revisions).... and you believed in Beth? SS is most stable... and Beth.. phhttttt hahaha.

Just riling you guys up... and thanks! I will wait for a long while before upgrading anything from Beth. I owe you for taking the bullet :X

John

Well as you know (since you said youre glad you had your laptop in offline mode) Steam just automatically updates your game unless you have the forthought to disable that "feature".

I finally caught up. Thanks. Old guys are slow. Ha. I thought I had a bomb waiting for me at home and couldn't play.

I really hate that Ad in the upper right corner now
$Creation $Club $News - All the $ latest updates to $ your favorite $ free mods that you $ have to pay for $ but we call free $
