Been a while, hasn't it?
Lately I've started having shots of nostalgia, thinking back to how far Sim Settlements as a whole has come. Just as a reminder to everyone, Sim Settlements was originally:
In short, we've come a long way since Kinggath dropped the original SS1 back in 2017, and I suspect he still has more in store (whether he wants to share with us his SS2 roadmap or not is his call).
Lately I've started having shots of nostalgia, thinking back to how far Sim Settlements as a whole has come. Just as a reminder to everyone, Sim Settlements was originally:
- No new characters outside of the Conquest addon's raider questline.
- No quests.
- ASAMs were just little boxes on a stake.
- No lore beyond a pre-war Concord person getting angry at RobCo over a shipment problem or something.
- The original mod only came with junk gathering; the industrial expansions, like conversion and production buildings, were separate mods.
- No new factions outside of the Conquest addon's raider questline.
- No involvement from the Gunners.
- No new worldspaces.
- No disease system.
- Everything was available right out the box once you used the City Manager holotape.
- No tutorial questline.
- No Workshop Framework requirement.
- Expanded industry, city plans/leaders, and settlement conquest were all separate mods.
