Today I Learned (screenshots v2)

Fallout 76 canon confirmed. And errrr... Frozen Valley canon confirmed I guess?

There is at least one animation marker in HQ that Super Mutants can use.
Fun fact: their 'typing at a computer' animation involves getting frustrated and (lightly) punching the keyboard.

(Dude's STR stat is, as you'd expect, really f'n high - although there appears to be some wierd glitch going on with sending people from that specific mod to HQ)

Also, Mansfield has clearly read a thesaurus at some point.

If I remember correctly, Hoss doesn't count as a settler numbers wise.
That would explain a few things. The other "Settlers of the Commonwealth" people (the human/ghoul ones that you wouldn't think should have a problem) lose all their dialog once sent to HQ for me too though.

Oh, that's bad. Some of them would make sense to be in the HQ. I guess the HQ recruitment quest breaks their "dialogue quest".

Yeah, that was my thinking. There's a ton of easily-recruited named/voiced people in the world with that mod active, more than I'd ever need, and I figured I might as well put them to use - but they go dead-silent once at HQ. Ah well.

Just a random shot from a now-discarded save.

I need to find a good mod that lets me have G1 Synths in settlements. The one I was using gives them the vanilla Settler voice pack which just isn't the same as them still having their proper robo-voice. I don't care if they can't act as Vendors or whatever.

Maybe that one of SKK50's is worth a shot.

I'm on a new save here, just used the cheat in the holotape to skip up to a specific quest ("Scavver's Delight" as shown on my screen).
Something got forgotten in the process, though...

His outfit and scarf - which are separate items apparently - were in his inventory. Dude just forgot to equip them. He doesn't have his Pip-Boy, though...
So fun fact, I just did this procedure again, and it happened again - Jake still spawned wearing only his holster.

Things about a couple of SS2 settlers that I didn't know...

This may be filed under things you wish you never knew, but I have heard Hubert randomly say the line 'why is my crotch so warm?" a few times while he was at his settlement and thought, yeah... that's just Hubert. It wasn't until I was at HQ (with the interior lighting) and saw that his crotch actually glows...

This is Alan Walsh a new settler available with Chapter 2. Last game I sent him to HQ, and that was it. This game I got him pretty early and didn't realize he has a quest where he creates his little eyebot buddy, F.I.D.O. In order for his quest to trigger you need to pick up a synth component.

No Gage, I'm pretty sure Cassandra doesn't have time for your "let's make Raiders an actual faction choice, maybe, eventually" nonsense. Although who knows what The Witch is actually thinking behind all that careful word choice.

Remember that Hubert is/was in the Children of Atom, whose default weapon is the Gamma Gun, which glows like that. The game does that when an NPC has a weapon equipped but 'holstered' if it has a glowing effect on it.
Not that that necessarily "helps" - I mean, it's canon that even just drinking a Nuka Cola Quantum irradiates your system so badly that you pee glowing blue

That's my Wasteland Gym. That one uses a different animation from the vanilla SS2 plot, here, Sebbo specifically made the camera work for the player.
Do the settlers also use the treadmill animation? The clipboard animation is my biggest problem with the vanilla plot.

This vending machine in HQ (built in "Southwest Corner Nook" on the Main Level, you can see that staircase where Jake yells at Aiden for building a turret indoors over there to the right) holds a secret...

Now I'm going to have to poke literally everything in the building looking for more extra features...
