Today I Learned (screenshots v2)

The Friar Tuck hair cut can be caused by an NPC wearing a bowler hat. I've had it happen a couple of times in my current game. Only seems to affect the SS2/CH2 added NPCs.
The hair is not the biggest problem in that screenshot...

I've had vanilla settlers sporting unexpected bowler hat tonsures, too.

I didn't know this was an option. Is it suppose to be? If so can there be an option to name them too?

I thought she was one of the dogs I bought off Gene. Then I noticed that she was always in the same spot at Sunshine. Well I sent her to HQ. Seems a shoe in for engineering.

Also after spending a bit of time at HQ I realized how much I would like to see an interaction with this little lady and other npcs, especially her "boss".

Edit: Update. These are Gene's dogs. They go to HQ, but can't be assigned to anything (for me at least).

if you're talking about them running around in their BVDs, try removing their leg armor. That's a vanilla bug. Happens occasionally to caravan guards when they equip leg armor. It conflicts with their default athletic outfit, which has built in leg armor.

The problem is that this is a child settler instead of a gunner guard

The scene with Jake in the Concord church does work fine now, although considering I've still never seen the church get 'renovated' it looks a bit derp.

And today's shenanigan: Jun Long drinking a coffee while he supervises Preston weeding the crops.
The animation markers on this set of plots - from ruinedworld's addon i think? - seem to be 'free for all anyone can use'. And that 'drinking a coffee' animation-marker Jun is on is about 6 inches off the ground.

Places I never expected to see a [Flirt] option:

Hitting on a potential investor couldn't possibly come back to bite me in future.

(if you pass that check, she says something to the effect of "things are going to work out better than i thought")

Bonus fun fact: When you recruit Mansfield to come work at HQ as part of the questline, he tells you he's going to go see the Overseer to resign his post. If you follow him... he actually does, there's a scripted NPC conversation scene. That's honestly pretty impressive.

I wonder if the flirt later makes it easier for us to milk her for info about the NLTC, which I think is probably controlled by whoever controls the Gunners too

What, in the heck, is Docker doing here? (this has to be in video form for reasons that will be obvious once you watch)

Looks like he's dancing to his own tune. And is doing it badly. As one who completely lacks anything remotely resembling "rhythm" or "moves" I can well recognize the signs.

Ah, but the important part, it is still, in fact, on the bar.
There's an epidemic of it. Someone really needs a talking to. I am choosing to believe this is not an accident on the part of the person who put these rooms together.

I left the HUD enabled in this one because it also shows the return of the good old "Total of resources doesn't match the values below" glitch. Somehow I have more Building Materials than my storage can hold PLUS another few thousand of the others?

And yeah, I'm definitely going to talk to The Nightingales about getting some optometry services.

Seriously...these keep getting better. I haven't chuckled much playing this game in a long time. Perhaps the USS Constitution mission gave me a few laughs. Thanks to everyone involved in making these scenes. They are genius and fit quite well into the utter wackiness of the fallout style.

It unlocked for me but doesn't give it to me in the list of options when I build a plot. And if I choose the generic recreation option, it just builds the little park :( I've built and destroyed a dozen or more trying to get this lol
Maybe it's just lag.. guess I'll try later
It looks awesome!

Remember its a 3x3 size, not a 2x2.
