ok so the minutemen have a random quest they can give you for Abernathy farm is there any way to get the minutemen Abernathy farm quest to trigger before Jake gives it to you so that you'll have two factions paying you xp for that location or no?

The vanilla quest to become allied with Abernathy comes from Blake Abernathy when you talk to him. The Jake version of meeting Blake is just an optional quest stage, not a stand alone full quest. Other than the location discovery, there is not xp awarded for quest stages, only for when the full quest is complete.

ok but the thing is Preston send you to the farm im trying to see if there's a way to get it from Preston and Jake at the same time that way i get xp from jake and from Preaston

The quest comes from Blake, not Preston.
There is no xp from Jake on this, it's just an optional stage that triggers if you have not met Blake yet when you are starting the SS2 "Scavver's Delight" quest/

Per the FO4 wiki, the only person who is a quest-giver for this is Blake Abernathy. Neither Preston Garvey nor Radio Freedom can trigger this quest. Neither will send you to recruit Abernathy Farm as a radiant quest so no, you can't get XP from both Blake and the Minutemen for this same quest.

Now, after you've recruited Abernathy Farm then Preston or the radio may send you there as a settlement that needs help (attack, kidnapping, etc), but by this point "Returning the Favor" is complete.

I think if you do Returning The Favor first and turn it in, THEN do Jake's quest, the enemies will be force reset when you and Jake get there so you can kill them all "twice" like that. Thats the only way I can think of to get more than the "intended" amount of exp here, and it might not work how I am thinking.

Ah, fair point and a good possibility. I had been thinking more about "turning in the quest twice" extra XP and didn't consider "kill 'em, revive 'em, and kill 'em again" extra XP.

I am just guessing, I have never actually tried doing them separately like that. It might well break if you do them individually but close enough together to be before the cell naturally respawns anyway, I dont know.

It's what i said before, probably in a poor english :( You get the quest from Abernathy and finish it; when you get it again from Jake Olivia is reset and you get almost double loot and XP.
Almost is because there is not the fusion core, the raider boss doesnt have the minigun and obviously there is no more the quest item. You have the key to open the locked room, but Jake wont go inside until you clear the area. Havent checked if the robot in the car repository NW will respawn to kill the raider outside, but i dont think so.

For almost any of the quests from settlements that the game calls "Minutemen Quests", you can just walk up to the settlers and start them without ever meeting Preston - the one at Finch Farm called "Into the Fire" can just be started whenever you want too.
The only catch is that the game can only have a certain number (I think it's 3 by default) of the randomly generated "settler quests" available at any time. If the characters ever just says "a settlement" or "nearby" instead of actually naming the place, it's a randomly generated one.
Preston's "radiant" missions only really give you a location of where one is, the same for Minutemen Radio.

This is true. I did it in my current playthrough and Jake's quest resets Olivia.

This can be assigned as a random mm quest for the settlement system if you ignore the farm long enough either through Preston or radio freedom I’ve got it all 3 ways so if the wiki says no it’s wrong. As far as jakes quest going to the farm or returning and finishing the farm quest makes no difference to jakes quest as far as rewards.

Basically, here, the SS2 main quest runs parallel with the vanilla quest. Two totally separate quests sharing locations. Enjoy he ride.
