Sim Settlements Three in One

It does allow you to increase the size but I use this one

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13779/

And this is the reason why:
ICBL1.jpg
ICBL2.jpg

Simpily because you can choose what to do on each settlement. When I choose to build with a City Plan, of course I use Nothing (Cancels upgrade option for the workstation).

Now for say my custom build Sunshine Tidings, this has 44 plots, 22 residentual and 22 of commercial, martial and so on (balanced), plus I built a shower block with toliets using

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14326

Because with CBBE nothing feel more realistic then watching you settlers take a shower naked or go to the toilet for a nice big, well you know.

I just hit the 4x. I have never had any issues with it, FPS drop or crashing probably won't be down to this mod but just maybe? you got a bit to carried away with the amount you built???.

Hello all. Please excuse my possibly green question.

@GA_Darkerside or someone familiar with PC mods. Here is a text file of my LO. I want to use place anywhere, however, it's not working despite its being loaded up. And its the the same with my visible roads mod (not working in the game)...My ask is this:

Would you take a look at my load order & tell me if in your opinion I've misplaced something which could be causing those mods NOT to function? I'm also open to general advice, in fact, I welcome it in regards to possibly rearranging the list overall in a more reasonable way. I thought I had done a good job, but it seems something is off. Thank You!

THANK YOU!!! I'm gonna check them out right now. (links you've provided) I have always wanted functional water items. As far as building too much my sanctuary is still nearly untouched so much so that I'm NOT against a new start just to be able to build it right. The last few days I've only been reading info and piddling around testing things out. So all cards are still on the table i'm NOT attached or invested in the small amount of settlement building that I have done so far in Sanctuary.

**Sidenote** That is TWO BAD*SS mod links in one post if your taste in mods and affinity for the same with minimal bug and compatibility issues covers your whole mod list, MAN you might just need to post YOUR Load sheet..Because it MUST be GOOD!!**

Hello all. Please excuse my possibly green question
Not Green but a nice way to start, thank you.

I welcome it in regards to possibly rearranging the list overall in a more reasonable way
Use LOOT - Go to the help guide listed in my signature below for links

I want to use place anywhere,
do you mean Place Everywhere? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424

You can move workshop workbenches, power armors and pretty much many other, previously unmovable objects (by default this mode is off - press INS - or on my keyboard INSERT to enable)

ALL hotkeys and notification messages can be changed in config file (Data\F4SE\Plugins\place.ini)
If you don't have place.ini yet, rename place_example.ini to place.ini
Information about what any option do can be found in place_ini_help.txt

BTW, I have no clue about PC mods, hell, I have no clue at all :)

@SavageRock - I play games for different reasons, I play GTA Online so i can hook up with friends and just enjoy a laugh. I play Fallout 4 because I just want to escape the real world, get lost in something that could feel real. Yes, it maybe buggy, but so is life?

I know people argue with me, aiming at the faults of Fallout 4, but its not the faults that are the true problem, it's their imagination. when I look at a mod, I think could or should that happen. SS makes sense and so does IDEK's Logistic Station, along with all it's addon's for all the authors, the last time I constructed a real world complex with over 400 flats, I honestly couldn't remember building it myself. If I found a plot of land in Fallout land, helped build some basics, wouldn't the settlers start to build stuff to how they wanted?

The Bath/Toilets, come on, they make perfect sense too, lol ( Your get the lol below ;) )

Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer -CBBE- https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15

With naked settings, that makes sense too. Who showers with their clothes on (ok ignore that time I got completely drunk and jumped in a fish pond thinking I was a fish, but that wasn't a shower anyway) and I can get away with being a voyeur because they won't go back and tell my wife :) you see, almost truely Lore lol.

I fully support SS and all the team becuase its not just about the mod, its the thought they put into it to make it feel real, but of course, don't forget the are others that also go that one step further in thinking carefully about what they are making and how it fits, IDEK for example.

1) RIGHT...My personal Misnomer problem...Because I'm big on dialogue and words in general, I tend to paraphrase a lot when "Loose talking"...
I DID mean "Place everywhere" LoL...:lol You and my old Professor must've gone to the same school, She would say, Sir, I can tell when you've read and LEARNED the material because it sounds as if you wrote it yourself when you speak about it. Whenever you cite and write exactly as it is in the material you probably CRAMMED and most likely couldn't give two Sh*ts about it... (she was right)...

2) Yes, the place ini file, I saw that as I was troubleshooting and I hadn't renamed it yet because the instructions didn't list the file name in the same format as the way it appears in the directory so I wasn't sure if that was the right file. You have confirmed that for me thanks!
Idl'd the suggested files from your previous post and will test them as soon as I get done with the movie I'm watching with the Fam. Thanks for your willingness to help it's Really appreciated!:hi:happy

Our thought processes are very similar indeed. My steam Status says basically what you just said...My reasons for enjoying FO have been EXACTLY the same ever since the first time i played on the VERY FIRST RELEASE years ago!

Im an avid GTA V player also... havent moved to PC yet... I've been thinking about it though, but with all the work I've put in THAT game I don't know about a platform switch until GTA 6 drops...

In the words of Dave Chapelle...
Im RICH Bit*H!! LoL,

So im NOT tryin start all over on that one. the playthrough just isnt as appealling and definitely wouldnt be as engaging for me as FO has always been. That being said, a clean start on FO4 is ALWAYS fun ESPECIALLY with all the mods.

Honestly, it is always a pleasure to help, I won't lie, as I do it for selfish reasons too, suffice to say, it makes me feel good, but my main reason is simple, I want people to enjoy Fallout 4 as much as I do. Sometimes I wont play Fallout 4 for a week because I become so desperate, when I do get on, I feel like a kid with a new toy, which at my age is a good thing.

Online I am known as both GA_Darkerside and Gina_Darkerside. GTA is currently Gina as I gave my GA account to a friend, both characters where rich, but when he got ripped off by a modder and no one would help him, I gave him the GA account which was fully loaded, why? because it just made sense.

If you still get problems and I miss your post, message me and kick my bum into gear but then there are so many good people on here always willing to help as well :)

Also Note: I am aware that I come across blunt sometimes, but that is only with the intention of focusing on the issue, I try to leave a funny comment after.

Were you able to get Place Everywhere working again, Savage Rock? There was a Creation Club update a few days ago that broke the script extender and required updates to F4SE and to most F4SE dependent mods. Depending on how your mod manager works the warning message that F4SE usually pops up can get suppressed, or I've caught myself just clicking through it before and not registering what it said. So, if you didn't already, make sure you've updated to the latest version of Fallout 4, have downloaded the most recent F4SE (version 1.10.98.0 for both) and updated Place Everywhere and MCM to the most recently uploaded versions as well.

I haven't ever had it working on PC as of yet, Although i did despite my belief that i had all the current versions of FO4 and FO4SE browse to their directory to check them based on your info. (They were current) Since that was the case i decided to review everything and watch a couple more vids and read a couple tutorials.

Right now, I'm going over my mods again and re-using LOOT based on some other good advice @GA_Darkerside and trying to make sense of the PC hierarchy and installation processes. I made the adjustments to my LO that he suggested also. I'm gonna start a new save and play as a woman since, in this process, I've also installed the FSM unique followers mod and some really ̶"̶n̶i̶c̶e̶"̶ NUDE textures because who wants to see a shower animation with bad textures...:blush
I'll check back once I load in and see how er'thang pans out. Thanks for taking your time to reply to my thread. It is appreciated.

I must admit, as of yet I haven't been on Fallout 4 for a while, to busy on here and with life, I will do an update today and look as load order issues (if any), I do find LOOT is amazing but not always 100%. Place Everywhere requires a little more to set up, but let us know and see if we can kick its backside together :)

Thanks Man! I did get it set up in the wee hours of this morning, admittedly it's layout is very different than the console version. In a slightly daunting, but good way just the same. I said that to say that it is WAAAAAY more configurable.
I will need to change up the toggles/commands and determine what each command means/t on XBOX and then map them in a familiar way on my PC, since I'm using my XB1 -S controller. In that same vein, some help from you as someone who has used it would be AWESOME. After i have done that i will acclimate myself to the previously on Xbox un-accessible functions. It looks like you are about 5 hours ahead of me so now I know when the best times to rattle your cage are! :help

Ok, I must admit to being stressed (explain later) and lost as to layout, do you mean Place Everywhere? lol. If so, I would use default settings, the F1-F11 I think, ignoring F9 keys, however I would change rotation to mouse wheel, using the place.ini.

I hope you are talking about PC version but then if I used my brain
then map them in a familiar way on my PC
I wouldn't sound like the idiot I am lol.

As standard F8 is toggle on/off, I play Fallout 4 with a gaming pad, mouse and keyboard, I have an xbox controller I use for racing games and split for GTA but Fallout is strickly PC stuff only. The basic lists of commands are
F8 - toggles "Place Everywhere" mode (if you enabled toggle in config)
F1 - toggles object snapping (you have to cancel current object if you have any selected, for this to work)
F2 - toggle ground and surface snapping
F3 - toggle workshop grid snapping
F5 - toggle out-of-workshop timeout
F6 - toggle storing clamped objects in workshop storage, when underlying object is scrapped or stored in workshop storage
F7 - lock/unlock hightlighted object selection. While selection locked, no other object will be hightlighted, when your move your aim on it.
INS - toggle extra objects selection.
F11 - change timescale to 0.01 (can be changed in config) while in buld mode

Numpad 0 - reset rotation angles X and Y to 0
Numpad 5 - remove 'tremor' effect
Numpad 2 - move outlined object down
Numpad 8 - move outlined object up
Numpad 4 - move outlined object left
Numpad 6 - move outlined object right
Numpad 7 - move outlined object to player
Numpad 9 - move outlined object from player
Numpad 1 - scale down oullined object by 10%
Numpad 3 - scale up outlined object by 10%
Numpad dot - reset scale of outlined object to 100%
Numpad minus - decrease rotation angle step
Numpad plus - increase rotation angle step
Numpad divide - decrease movement step
Numpad multiply - increase movement step
PgUp - increase scale step
PgDown - decrease scale step
Ctrl - change rotation axis.
Backspace - undo last precise movement/rotation/scaling action.
'=' - store outlined object position, rotation and scale info
1,2,3 - set X,Y,Z position of stored info to outlined object
4,5,6 - set X,Y,Z rotation angles of stored info to outlined object
7 - set scale of stored info to outlined object
0 - set all stored info to outlined object
Home - turn object physics on (make it movable/droppable if possible)
End - Home - turn object physics on (make it static if possible)

change this setting in the place.ini, if you haven't got on, change place_example.ini, to it

;wheelRotation = off

to

wheelRotation = on (notice I removed ; )

Allows you to use the mouse wheel for rotation, depending on how you have the mouse wheel set up in control panel, depends on the rotation speed

example using my mouse settings, 1 line, means very slow but accurate rotation, 6 lines, of course a faster but less accurate movement, however my mouse has a mind of its own and it tends to go 1 Line = whatever I am in the mood to do

I hope this is what you are after.

I have a mechanical gaming keyboard, so mine doesn't have a number pad, what I tend to do is use switch mode on my gamepad (17 button) and map out the keys on there instead. e.g blue is fallout game mode, green is simulated keypad, rest done on keyboard

I am more then happy to help but I would suggest using the keyboard

Oh and stressed because I finally updated Fallout 4, Place Everywhere and a few others only to find Place Everywhere had stopped working. After trying to figure ity out and coming back later, I released, "Mr thinks he knows it all" had updated in the wrong order, I am such a noob lol

Ha-ha it happens man. Even Michael Jordan missed a few free throws,

I was referring to PC just as you thought.Youre no Idiot LoL.

I think I got the load order lined up. I dl’d some other mods read a sh^t TON of stuff and found a good YouTuber with some really good Mod clinics. I fiddled around with CBBE and changed ALL the female bodies I also dl’d some addons for SS. It all seems to be working as expected currently. I’m sitting at 59 mods/fixes etc..

Your oops today is something. That I had to reslize through my trial and error pricess also, when you have certain Mods installed, you hafta be careful how you update otherwise you end up writing over the files a certain mod requires to function (easily fixed) or worse your save gets farked up.

Thx for the advice!

If you stil need help, then let me know. As I said before, feel free to message me directly to point me towards a question/post you have made, if you get no response for anyone and I will do my best to help :)
