Two issues: My first upgrade worked to all appearance flawlessly at the coastal village a new settlement I just started; Crashed with the Cinematic the first time, then seemed to work fine.

So I went to try the same thing with Sanctuary; put Preston in charge, crashed consistently. I thought it was due to RNG deciding to launch an attack at that moment (I've typically found Sanctuary to be a bit crashy during or just after attacks) but after a few attempts after turning off the Cinematics I found that the gunfire I heard consistently as I started was ... Jezebel, Dogmeat, and other Settlers deciding to just murder the VaultTec Salesman. I can only assume it's related since it seems to start as items are deleting, then they kill him, then boom.

Going to try sending him to the Drivein for the moment, and see if that resolves the crash, but either way seems like a bug. Or at least an awfully sudden value judgment on the part of everyone involved.

Okay, an understandable value judgment, but sudden ...

Try running the pipboy / planner's desk self destruct sequence and let it complete before doing the assignment of a manager and tear down. See if that helps. Seems to be what is effecting me the most.

Well, I ran through several over settlement and crashes aren't unusual but also not definite, usually one reload worked.

This may be Sanctuary - it has always been crash heavy for me for some reason; Since it looks like ten days to upgrade cities, I'mma goona let it sit for awhile while my others update.

Are you using Scrap Everything or something similar with the .ini edit? That was brutal for me. Well... it was that or one of my ENB presets. Photorealistic commonwealth and Pilgrim were both brutal for me in settlements. The Commonwealth Triangle as I call it (Sanctuary, Red Rocket, Abernathy) was particularly bad due to their proximity to each other with a high draw distance. Getting rid of those have helped me in settlements huge.

The scrap everything .ini edit broke tons of my textures though. So, that would be a bit of a give away.

Scrap anything is a temptation but no, I haven't downloaded it. I'm reasonably sure the murder attempt is related to RoTCW in some way, but I'm increasingly sure the crash is just Sanctuary being Sanctuary for me; It's been unstable there ever since it became a settlement. Right now I'm out of people to delegate it to anyway so I'm going to wait for another companion to become available then tear it down manually.

We've had multiple reports of settlers and visitors turning into murderers out of nowhere, kinggath is aware of this and I believe he is looking into it as it is a rather ugly bug which needs to be taken care of as soon as possible.

Well the only thing stopping Jezebel from becoming a serial killer anyway was the inefficiency of only murdering people one at a time, so there is that.
