Incompatible Ghoul Mods

I haven't downloaded SS2 yet, but to my understanding it is incompatible with ghoul mods. Is this just mods that change ghoul behaviors or do texture mods count as well?

Specifically, I use these mods:

Classic Ghouls Replacer https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/40546
Fallout 3 - NV Ghouls Replacer https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/39290
Ghoul Mask (figured fine, but just in case) https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/41510
More Feral Ghouls. A Zombie Mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/43441
F.E.R.A.L. Sounds Rework https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/52554

Thanks for the help!

Are you the one that asked about this in the livestream the other day? The chat box on Youtube has a stupid small 'maximum text size' field, I couldn't answer satisfactorily at the time.

The issue with compatibility here is that some of those "ghoul reworks" tend to give the Ferals better loot tables and/or more special abilities, either of which can break the quest "Hub of the Problem" in particular - due to how the area's set out, it can either break NPC dialog sequences or mean you can't loot a specific object you need to get from a unique ghoul. If it's just retextures/sound replacers/maybe even updated models, it will PROBABLY still be ok to use them.

I Run with Decay at the Moment and my ghuls have Multiple New body parts as lootables... which i think came with the Hunting- and Car-Scraping mod i use. But i had no Problems so far because this new loot is just added and does not replace the normal loot.

yes I am lol
I think they're mostly fine, but the one I'm worried about is the "more feral ghouls" mod, as it does add some extra ghouls that wear armor and it makes them spongey, but from what I can tell I don't think those ones replace ghouls but just tend to spawn where they spawn? I'm not sure if it would replace the ghouls of that quest or not.

Oh, and I think some other ones hold weapons, and use the non-feral actor. Others are like child sized, etc... but they spawn with several others that are basically vanilla outside of my textures. So... idk. I would be worried about that one. Does the quest happen super late into the story?

It's quest number 7, technically. (out of 14 in Chapter 1)
It's also historically been the quest most prone to breaking for people, which personally I find amusing given it's called "Hub of the Problem".

hm, kind of far to easily test... unless there's some kind of speed run strat? :d
seems like I might be better off dropping the mod for safety

There's a "skip to specific quest" "cheat" in the holotape you could try using if you want to do some test-iterations.

ooooh, okay. That sounds good actually. I can all of the quests with this? Does kinggath have a video example somewhere?
It technically works all the way through to the end of chapter 2, but I havent personally used it to go any further than the quest called "Who Can? ASAM!" since thats the first time a proper story branch comes up and I dont trust it.
Its just under Tools -> Cheats in the City Manager 2078 Holotape.

So I think the problem with the ghoul mods (specifically D.E.C.A.Y. I know is a problem) is that any mods that change the ghouls so they emit radiation (not radiation damage when they strike you, that they themselves are a radiation hazard) can mess up that quest that Yaugie is speaking of because it borks the AI of a main NPC so that they don't do what they are supposed to and think they are in combat because they are taking constant radiation damage from the presence of the ghouls.
