Log ends, game crashes.

Notes:
  • Crash is consistent
  • Crash occurs about 3 minutes into the upgrade.
I had this happen and what I did was refresh the plots first oh and I have cinematic off if you are there while it is doing the upgrade make sure you are looking at the ground. that is what worked for me.

Refreshed all 55 plots, turned off clutter, extra lights and animated objects. Disabled Cinematic Mode. Still crashes. Just tried upgrading again with 3.1.5a. No luck. What's the error message mean? Is it a mod conflict? It's the one thing preventing me from upgrading.

not sure you can goto the planner desk and use that to refresh city, maybe something got messed up that is on the rotc plan and causing it. I believe all it is suppose to do is tear down the city and rebuild it but It will not mess with plots or plot types. I believe it should also leave anything you placed but anything that was deleted by you from the plan will be put back in. save and give it a try

Or is it just a vanilla pathing thing that can not be fixed.

I would refresh the city but when I try it gives me an instant error message. Rebuilding the desk didn't work sadly.

I would get papyrus logs and any crash logs if any as well as a mod list and load order list with the save game together. Then give it to the SS guys so they can take a look at it. with the lists and save game they can run it and see it happen.

As in title. After over 48hs of no problems i fast traveled to goodneighbor and the game immeadiatly crashed. Took me a while to pinpoint what was causing the crash (through loading different saves and checking on which one ft still worked, every time i fast traveled (everything loaded normally, and 2s after showing up on spot, BOOM), What fixed it was just "Manually going to concord and fast traveling somewhere and back to sanctuary. tho im no expert whatsoever and i might be wrong about it, also my computer is not the best one(lenovo y510p) and im using around 50 mods. Hope this helps, couse this mod is the best, and gives the game what it was seriously lacking.
 
Might just have been script backups being painful and the manually going places gave it enough time to finish whatever it was working on.

I am getting a 100% reproducible CTD when I attempt to upgrade Tenpines Bluff from L1 -> L2.

Background
I have Preston at City Leader. It is entirely vanilla from city 0. EXCEPT for bunk beds from Homemaker. Originally it was low in beds so I placed them INSIDE of residential plots thinking to provide extra covered beds. I then found the bed numbers wonky so I tried to delete them with Workshop and got CTD. My solution was to use the command line delete to remove the beds. And everything was fine. A while later the town was ready to upgrade and now I am getting this.

I was getting a CTD so I tried upgrade once and managed to survive enough to zone out and save. Now I cannot zone in, walk in, or re load and upgrade to the city.

Getting the EXACT same issue. Everything went without a hitch from LV 0-1 but the settlement utterly shits itself once a transition to LV 2 is made.
 
I am having reproducible crash-to-desktops when building any interior plot. Only in Abernathy. After testing several days of saves, I determined that this started only after I enabled RotC features in that settlement (previously I was building and maintaining SS plots myself). Yesterday I had decided to scrap all of RotC at that settlement, because there were lots of glitches and generally I didn't like how things were working so I was going to rebuild it all myself. Due to my testing I know that the crash was present at this point but I didn't discover it until I scrapped everything.

I used the town gavel to scrap all. I also made a clean save without Scrap Everything enabled (I think I'm going to leave it disabled from now on, after reading about the issues it can cause), and it put some trash and stuff back but didn't stop the crashing.

One other messed up thing about my Abernathy settlement is I have a bunch of broken tato plants that I can't repair. When I activated RotC, most of them disappeared but a few just went "underground" and I can still see them in workshop mode but they are invisible in the real world. When I try to select them, I get a CTD and it's been like that forever.

My mods list is attached.

Do you have the DLC? It almost looks like the game installation might be having some problems.

Loose files can also cause issues. I'm not sure why it's choking on the institute radio. Radio replacer mod?
 
I have all the DLC except NukaWorld. The only radio-related mod I have is "More Where That Came From - Diamond City Radio Edition".

First: Holy crap, this mod package is utterly amazing. AAA+, must have, leaps and bounds better then as designed.

Fast travel to Nordhagen would crash every time. Went thru every step I could find, including reinstalling the mods, and reordering SS to be first on my mod load list. Decided it was a bad cell, and rolled back my save game several hours to where it would load.
Opted to use the remote demolish tool to blow it all up, just to make sure. Thought it might have been something with some of the advanced industry plots I had added.

Restarted the settlement from scratch, and made no changes (other then changing a residential building from its randomly assigned form, to a Wastland Ventures Tower). Started to crash again after getting an upgrade notification, when the settlement went from T0 to T1.

Rolled save back again, and set the settlement to manual upgrade. Current save game will crash every time I manually upgrade, during the fly by.

And I cant post a link to the file...figures.

It has to be the classic Scrap Crash?

Another thing you can check is the papyrus logs. When a city is spawning or upgrading, it will post information on everything that is being spawned. If you find that the last couple lines in the logs are always the same items during an upgrade crash, it could be that there's a mod conflict screwing up one of the items the Nordhagen design uses.

Okay so I had one of those crashing when fast traveling away. I think this is the last one of cp spawn lines. Took a while to find it.

Hi all, I'm getting constant crashes when upgrading Oberland Station to lvl1. Upgrading is done manually and without cinematics. Here's the last CP Spawn entry:

Hi.

First of all. Love the SS mod! It makes the game so much more enjoyable!

I am getting a CTD whenever I try to upgrade Sanctuary from lvl 0 - lvl 1
So far this only happens at Sanctuary. Other settlements seem to upgrade fine.

I start the upgrade, get the cinematic and after about a minute it CTD's. (It also does this with Cinematic off)

Things I tried:
- Cinematic off
- Disabled all mods except SS, ROTC and IR
- Self Destructed Sanctuary
- Let it auto-upgrade. But this caused a CTD when fast traveling to Red Rocket or Sanctaury. Walking up to Red Rocket, no problem. Walking up Sanctaury, CTD as soon as I'm halfway to the bridge.

An odd thing I have noticed in the logs is that it points to C:\program files, but I don't have any game files installed on my C drive. I also checked, the referencing location doesn't exist.

Crash occurs while upgrading from Lv0 to Lv1 in Sanctuary. Also any time i manually scrap anything the game instantly crashes.
I have also tried preventing the upgrade from happening by taking over control of construction. The game still CTD's when i attempt to scrap anything in Sanctuary
