Today I Learned (screenshots v2)

I always tell that making NPC's mortal in a Creation Engine game is a bad idea. Those NPC can die from cases such as: tripping over navmesh, falling through solid ground, suffocating inside models, forgetting how to breathe and heart attack from cricket sounds.
Don't forget walking too close to a car

About that training center I set up. I assigned there one of the synth detectors from the Recruitable settlers to keep watch.
So I see that the happiness is down there, fast traveled. As I expected, new synth settler got oof-ed, but the rest are still shooting at... advanced farm?!
Ok, so I think there is something underneath it, tcl'ed... nothing. Turns out, they were shooting either at the plot itself or at the Mister handy manipulators.
The synth detector is assigned to that farm. Wut.

Gonna break the format again but maybe someone can help with screenshots of their games. What I wanted to say was, contest city plans are amazing. I learned that things I couldn't even imagine are possible in this game. Mostly everything Gavman does. Karvoc rocks as well, really digging the raider and CoA stuff. Not to belittle everyone else, I've spent some days watching vids and there are a lot of hidden gems in there.

I always figured from the sound that the "Jet Inhaler" is like... one of those things used for asthma and the like. There probably would be enough of those that've been made to still scavenge/repair usable ones 200 years later...

How about baking them up with some Rad-X(or RadAway) for a stronger effect. Or pure nuclear material for that- Children of Atom in each of us! That, while the effect is active, little green rad particles will constantly float around the player's head like during a rad storm? :grin

That's actually a pretty neat idea for a (reasonably) simple mod... CoA themed chem pack with tons of +Rads and such. Might have to put that on the list...

You could even make the player minutely radioactive during the 'nuclear' effect, so even your pipboy picks it up. And if your Rad-Ready, it'll recharge your health over time(if you have the perk).

I may just have to do this. Few value changes and a texture swap maybe...

Now that I think about, what do you think about having those little 'rad' flies around the entire player, or any npc, when their rads are above 90%? As they are irradiated and starting to show it! or 80% and above %95 add a glow map. Not like a glowing one with the veins, but some type of light source that radiates from the player that's green.

Someone mentioned this during the last Livestream. I'd never even noticed that if you're on the right angle...

He's definitely not still close enough that he heard you ask that or anything.

And while I'm out here in this part of the map...

That "Quantum Radstag" is friggin' enormous, btw.

It's taller at the shoulder than Default Nora.

Gets so confused trying to sandbox-path around here in Sanctuary - it doesn't fit through the doorways to the mostly-still-intact houses.

Doesn't seem to like staying assigned to plots, though, so those absurdly good stats (considering you can get the guy at maybe playerlevel 2) are going to waste.
