The Great Wiki Project

Hi there, my name is Aces and I am willing to help. I am the founder of the Independent Fallout Wiki, and have 2+ years of experience editing with a focus on the technical side. Whatever you need a hand with, I am willing to pitch in. Happy trails!

I would like to apply for a writer position! I have a portfolio and do tech writing and documentation control for my day job. I am including my resume as an attachment. I have a portfolio of work if you are interested. I currently edit, proofread, publish, copywrite, and write documents for technical personnel. I also process monthly reports, compile and transcribe information and meeting minutes, as well as utilize gap management skills.

Thank you,

Meg

Hello @AromiaFlyce
Thank you for your interest. We are all volunteers here on the Wiki Team, so it's not a paid position. We removed your resume because it included your personal information. We work together using Discord and the Wiki is in wiki.js if you'd like to have a look at that.

Let me know if you are still interested.

Hi all,

I'm a relative newcomer to the mod, but frankly I love it so much that I'd like to pitch in. I have several years experience with technical documentation and some with general programming, but my modding and wiki related skills are fairly rusty. I'd love to help organize and update the wiki if there's room for another volunteer, especially in regards to some of the nuances of component level difficulty and other more advanced gameplay options.

I would love to assist in any way possible. I enjoy reading what others post and giving input and/or help when I can. I test tons of mods, which has caused me to redo that dang vault sequence so many times lol. It hurts dying to a bloat fly. Any how, I am experienced with dealing with large communities and being a moderator from my groups I admin on Telegram. I'm a huge SS2 and fallout fan so if you need anything lmk.

Following up: We chatted in private message, but I haven't heard back from you.

Greetings @Scottsolo10,

Welcome to the forums. :drinks
The forums are created for everyone who enjoys playing FO4 and Sim Settlements 2 to be able to ask and answer questions, report issues. Everyone here is a volunteer. Anyone who has knowledge can provide input or help.

Pre new Releases, there are often Public Beta Test Releases published on the Forums for any of the folks here to participate in testing.
I would encourage you to participate in testing activites when those are published. Kinggath usually puts a call out when more focused testers are needed, so watch for those. He will sometimes ask during his Livestreams on Wednesdays 7pm CST on YouTube or Twitch. There is another Recruitment post for Beta Testers in this Forum section.

If you are volunteering for a Moderator role, those roles are usually filled by Kinggath when needed, by invitation, and usually are long time, trusted members of the community. I don't know if there are any Moderator roles open at this time.

I appreciate the response. I'll continue to grow in the community and keep an eye out for beta testing. I'll also continue to do my part interacting with others. I appreciate all the work everyone puts in.

A bit late now granted, but I have several hours of footage saved on my hard drive of SS2 playthrough, if anyone wants it to use in any way let me know.
