Fixed Texture Glitches

Seems that on a lot of your "custom" models with custom textures, it glitches up badly if you get close to it. With the Solar Panels this isn't too noticable, but with the flags it's really bad.

(This is the Mechanist flag btw)

At a distance it works as intended, upclose however I get this.

The flags are my only custom textures, just fyi, if you're having other things turn into that pixalization it's either a vanilla texture or from another mod.

Having said that, I just realized I didn't make a special textures ba2, I'll need to ask folks about that.

@Kytampe should be able to help with that.

His custom textures are doing it too, but I'll ask him if he found a fix.

The bug is actually a vanilla bug having to do with the ba2 compression (it can happen in a pure vanilla game), however it seems to happen more with custom textures.

Yeah someone else found a fix and he's implementing it. The very last post on the first page here explains the steps taken.

Yeah, looks it has to do with that second ba2 I forgot to make. It'll probably be next monday before I can repack it and upload.

Would you give 0.8.4a a try and see if repacking those textures fixed it?

I'm not sure if this is the result of your mod or not, mytigio, but one of my level 3 Scav Dispatcher tables (has a little toy soldier on it) is really REALLY purple on top, like there is supposed to be something there but all that comes through is an untextured model. I can screengrab it if you need.

Yeah please post a screenshot if you can and I'll reach out to the more graphicly minded folks in the community. The wooden soldier is a vanilla game object, so I'm not sure what would cause the texture to go weird

/sees changelog

Still need that screenshot? =)

Nah, I checked and forgot the texture and material file for sure. (it was the map on that table that was missing the texture)

I'll be out for a few days, so I'll catch any other bugs when I get back

Hm, downloaded the most recent version, but I still get this:

Hrmm, can you confirm the side of the texture archive for me? Maybe I stupidly packed the wrong one again? It worked fine in my testing, but I have the loose texture as well so perhaps it picked up the loose texture instead. (it shouldn't have in theory with the settings I had)

Oh, just look at the IndustrialCity_Sim_Settlements_Addon - Textures.ba2 file and tell me how big it is. It's in your Fallout 4 /Data folder

As an update, I removed my loose files and can still see the map texture, so if another thing to try is reinstalling 0.9.1 to make sure it replaced your Textures ba2 file

Hmm, that should be right, and I've confirmed twice that 0.9.1 shows the texture correctly even without loose files.

The best I can recommend is a reinstall of the add-on and then refreshing the building
