Some good Mods for next Playthrough

NPCs Travel definitely works fine. Not sure about Better Locational Damage, but I doubt it causes any significant problems.
I recommend those mods then. Also True Storms with a 10% of goul hordes in radstorms and dark nights. Fear the wasteland!

For dark nights and spooky stuff, Whispering hills is my favourite. Really brutal stuff, especially if you start a new game with it. Let's say I barely survived Concord... Don't think it's compatible with SS2, though.

In a similar vein I tried out GRIM myself, good spooky visuals but the mechanics dont mesh well with settlement building. Still have its ENB active though just so nights are actually dark instead of just a blue filter.

I just like my fallout being a horror game lol. When the scariest enemy you can face is a CTD, that's sad...

Yeah, I just wanted night time to actually be DARK. I didn't even notice just how much of Concord lights up when you fix that plutonium well for Jake until I fixed it so night time wasn't just 'day time, but wearing tinted glasses' like it is in vanilla.

On the topic of "spooky" mods...

Yes, SS2 plots do work perfectly there. Just, ah... don't try building in that map until you complete the quest first. If you've played it (and the quest script actually activated properly) you know why. I didn't think The Curse had actually activated until it was too late
It's my new favourite worldspace - yes it's beaten out Far Harbor itself.

You’ve definitely interested me in the GRIM enb…..does it play nice with other mods (Especially SS2) ?
I miss the dark of true storms. Installation looks easy enough. Advice?

You really are making me interested in The Wilderness, too….does it have many problems? I know the access is near the ” Triangle”…I’m hoping it wouldnt affect it being a separate world space. I’ve never used a world space mod before…load order advice?

ENB requires a little fiddling with files, and I manually tweaked a couple of GRIM's values (daytime was looking too... 'washed out'), but it's easy enough. It IS another layer of processing, though, so I wouldn't recommend it unless your system's pretty good.

It's actually NOT "near The Triangle", the only world edits to The Commonwealth is a new fast travel marker with a couple of trees and a script-activator - which transports you to a separate world entirely a la Nuka World or Far Harbor. I have it right at the bottom of my load order, but I don't think it would actually matter much unless you're running other mods that alter that exact spot.

Thats more power than my pc, so should be fine.

But I still keep getting random CTDs…in the weirdest places, even in new playthroughs. I’m Leary of adding new stuff. I keep trimming down my mods in hopes I’ll have a stable playthrough. I’m beginning to suspect it’s the big screen TV that’s causing it. I’ve read latency can cause crashes. Or it could be the fact that I have the graphics settings too high.
As for the ENB…is there a link I could follow to help me set it up?

I just followed the instructions here:

And then manually hand-edited a couple of the ini files to tweak a few settings (wasn't a big fan of the massive 'letterboxing' Grim has by default)

Most TVs have some sort of "Game Mode" which turns off all the TV's special processing stuff. That should remove the latency issues.

Funny story, my first experience with this was shortly after I got my first LCD TV. I couldn't play Guitar Hero on it to save my soul. I hooked my old tube TV back up! I later found out about the game mode thing and problem solved. I felt pretty dumb afterwards and my friends laughed at me...

Apparently I need to restart my game, so Wanted to ask what are some good mods everyone uses when playing the game?

I am a fan of clothing, weapons, building mods personally and I usually play o survival mode.
If you're on PC I cannot recommend FallUI enough. All the bits are wonderful. Also OLD TIME RADIO, which I gushed about in another thread, and Minutemen Squads.

I’ve used the minutemen squads works well it’s a good early game mod that adds a little extra to prestons story and a way to send off others to do some of the more basic quests. Just be careful you don’t use them for any of the ss2 related stuff think I accidentally used them to clear an area that was ss2 related and had to back pedal a save. That was a while ago though so maybe been worked out by now.

Does anyone know if I'll break something in SS2 by moving settlement attack markers with SKK's Move Workshop Markers? I want to use that in conjunction with SKK's Settlement Attack System so that attackers aren't spawning within the walls of my settlements. I don't see an incompatibility listed in the wiki nor on the Nexus mod page but I just wanted to double check that's correct. Is anyone using SS2 with Move Workshop Markers and, if so, what's your experience been? Thanks.

This is the mod in question:

Nobody else has reported any problems with it, so either literally nobody else in the SS2 community runs it, or it works perfectly fine. SKK50's stuff is generally quite reliable (I use several of their mods myself), and I can't imagine this one causes any problems.
