Scrap Everything?

Howdy all. I am coming back to FO4 and am wondering if anyone is still using this mod and their experience with SS2. I loved this mod in the past.
I am aware of the non-compatability with Boston FPS.

Alternatives?

I am pretty basic at modding so can not confirm if it is causing problems that I haven't noticed, but have been using Scrap Everything and SS2 so far and not noticed anything to my knowledge that shows any conflict.

I'm no expert. I only know what I have read in the wiki and on mod pages. That said, I think SE is great and I have used it through hundreds of hours of gameplay along with SS1. It was on my list of essential mods up until I found these others. For me, the problem with SE is that it breaks precombines. Not a problem at the start but once I have gone through most of the settlements scrapping all the things I want to (which is pretty much every bush, hedge, vine, vehicle, and ruined building) my game starts to lag. I still have it for those objects that I just have to remove, but with my current mod setup, I am only breaking a few precombines and not hundreds. YMMV

That makes sense Newhouse, I am going to give that setup a shot. Raze my Settlement + Clean my Settlement and then scrap everything for "I gotta get rid of it."

Scrap Everything has been a major cause of issues, especially when used alongside a script heavy mod like Sim Settlements. It breaks up pre-combines which causes a performance hit in heavily built up areas like downtown Boston or larger settlements, if you use a city plan it will scrap items weren't supposed to be leaving major gaps, and if not used carefully you can create holes in the world-space. A quick search of the forum certainly used to bring up a ton of threads of Scrap Everything related issues.

Probably a good idea to start weening yourself out from using SE before SS2 includes higher tier city plans. Because then the performance related problems should manifest themselves more easily.

Longtime user of Scrap Everything. It makes the game so much better. How can I use Place Everywhere in place of it?

Here's an example: say I want to delete a cabin at Sunshine Tidings Co-Op. Scrap Everything leaves the stuff inside, and some of that can't be scrapped, like leaf piles and collections of office papers. So without it, how can I clear serious space for Sim Settlements plots?

FYI, my system gets 50+ FPS in downtown Boston with Scrap Everything. I'm also using the Boston FPS Fix, for what it's worth.

Sold. That'll save so much time. And I hate accidentally scrapping something I don't want to, such as Sanctuary roads, the Red Rocket building, etc.

But, what if I actually want to clear a building, like the aforementioned Sunshine Tidings Co-Op cabins?
I can scrap all the cabins just not the barn, warehouse and little metal bathtub/shitter building or the silos

I started over, and I'm running Immersive Cleaning and not Scrap Everything this time around. I like how it works, but I'm a little disappointed in what it omits, for example skeletons, mole rat mounds, radioactive barrels, fallen trees, vehicles, and other stuff that's of no use to me. Oh, and it scraps part of the diner counter in Red Rocket, so the cash register is half floating and the Boston Bugle that was on its shelf is floating. So far, I've only cleaned three settlements with it (also Sanctuary and Starlight Drive-In), but I'm impressed so far.

Immersive Cleaning = Trash and clutter
Clean my Settlement = Leaves and bushes
Place Everywhere = what's left

No precombines broken, no fps loss, but clean Settlements. Very important for Bunker hill or the Triangle-of-Death (Sanctuary-Red Rocket-Abanathy Farm)

A lot of the items mentioned I know can be scrapped with Place Everywhere's extra object selection activated.
Place anywhere is so much more then a placement mod it has taken me a long time to realize this. Scrap dead stuff yep scrap skeletons yep scrap a bunch of random objects which the extra selection on yep. It really is an all in one settlement tool and when you use whispers raze my settlement and his mod that removes bramble you have a powerful set of settlement mods that will clean a settlements in mins.

I would really like to see place anywhere included in wsfw as a base mod that’s part of wsfw without place anywhere I couldn’t build a shack bridge between sanctuary on the path to Abernathy that so many npc like to use. Watching them poor npc wade that river is depressing they need that bridge.

the Triangle-of-Death (Sanctuary-Red Rocket-Abanathy Farm)
I have literally never had an issue here. Even on the failed Xbox One port. Sure, the Xbox One version runs like crap downtown, but between the first three settlements? Nah. Never seen that. Not trying to boast on my system as it was only upper-midrange when I built it in 2016, so now... well, it's "good enough" and that's all I'll give it. And I won't even say I'm a good system builder. I will say Fallout 4 is poorly optimized without mods.

Could it be that I'm using Boston FPS Fix, Baka Scrap Heap, Address something-or-other, the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch, Insignificant Object Remover, FAR (Faraway Objects Replacer — replaces distant objects with low-poly versions you can't see the difference in anyway), and maybe a couple others? I run a pretty stable setup.

I was the same age I am now when I realized this... and I had a birthday recently. Not "today years old" but I was watching a video and a YouTuber said "and now I press F2 to disable surface snapping," and I was like, "hold up what mod lets you do that?" So I found out it was one I already have (Place Everywhere for PC, Place Anywhere is console, for some reason, not sure if same team or different) and there's much more you can do. The rotation stuff confuses me because it's based on the game's built-in axes, which may not be based on where you're looking... there needs to be a mod that overlays the world in AR axes (as in axis plural, not ax plural...) so you know more or less which way the thing will rotate. Probably wouldn't even be hard to do since the game has to know which way is which at all times anyway.

I couldn’t build a shack bridge between sanctuary on the path to Abernathy that so many npc like to use. Watching them poor npc wade that river is depressing they need that bridge.
I've never seen this! Anyway, no they don't. Use Cheat Terminal Portable to create a set of military fatigues, a combat helmet, and a set of heavy combat armor, and give to each provisioner. They can wade through some shallow water. Is this cheating? Up to you! (I don't think it is as it doesn't directly benefit the player.) ;)

Does Place Everywhere maintain precombines when extra stuff is scrapped?
