This morning I got bored with trying the sleep-thing. (Insomnia is such a mongrel.)

I decided to do "a thing".

The locker spawned some random loot, interesting.

A little personal project. I have to figure out why my companions didn't follow me inside.

HAhahaha, Maybe?
:blush
They knew it was personal. Can’t sleep an wanting to try to “do a thing”?. In this new dark basement alone? :aggro

Did you download any mods from LL beforehand?:scratchhead

Just helping troubleshoot the problem.? :this

I know my Piper wouldn’t go either, given the circumstances....:kiss
She always gets mad when Cait shoots her with that particular gun. Piper told her, but....

HahHaha, I am rolling! 50 Shades of Power Armor.
huh, I haven't tryed that, yet. But, I prefer..... hnmmmm, never mind....

Sorry man, couldn’t help myself. :drinks

Except that right now I’m running with dogmeat and Barb lol - cait is such a grumpy biatch!

Barb is an excellent companion! Ideal even, I am such a clumsy doofus that all those simpacks come in handy. Great mod!

Still I understand the hord of unused power armor
I am not a fan of power armor
and
Skin is, well “a good thing”

SS website forum EXPOSING the truth of "THINGS" and doing them.....
Shameless Confession to follow:

About a week ago I lost my CC Sentinel Powerarmor AI....It ran me ABSOLUTELY bonkers as to When and HOW exactly it happened... When i used console to bring him back he wouldnt follow he just stood there (fully interactable) Yet and still, no matter what commands I gave him he would vocalize his allegiance in his best Prime voice. But NO ACTION... After retracing MULTIPLE saves I was able to determine where I'd lost him, and exactly WHY he stopped heeding his operator's instructions... Wellllll, There is this one LL mod...:whistle3 There were also these three female BOS troops on the overpass between the Slog and the Saugus Ironworks... There was also me, aka the Lone Wanderer, Piper, my Sentinel, and my trusty Dog...Whose job was simply to watch out... (I ain't that much of a weirdo!!) Well, let's just say that, the last save where my Sentinel was active and functional happened LITERALLY JUST BEFORE I met those 3 female BOS soldiers on the bridge...

Whoda' thunk it ?!? Turns out the LL Mod didnt play well Orrrrrrrr Quite possibly the CC Sentinel AI is a true patriot and DOESNT take kindly to participating in "unsavory acts"...

Moral of the story??? My perviness ended up with my reverting to THAT save file a couple of days ago from that specific day and also my losing 3 levels... I will NEVER EVER do That "THING" again..... At least not with the Sentinel as my WING MAN anyway!!! LMAO:rtfm :punish

@SavageRock it is a severe bummer to have to go back 3-4 levels. Unfortunately just one'a those things at times.

Before putting in any mod these days, I've learned to go and do a "preXXXModXXX' save. In the case of what I'm putting together here: "prePowerArmorBasement".

Now tell the Sentinel to stop being such a prude. :grin

Finally got it.

I can now make full interior settlements and player homes. =)

I will admit though, to smashing my head umpteen times into the keyboard during this final 1% of work. (Took 99% of the damn time...)

@Whisper, You are so right about the preXXmodXX save idea!

I am DEFINITELY of that mindset! That is exactly why you will rarely see a post of mine that says "____ Mod broke my game" Because i typically enter into any new mod install fully believing that i am going to screw something up, or that the mod author very likely DIDNT take into consideration my very specific brand of Duct tape and wonderglue cobbled Load list... As such a moment as something goes amiss, I move things around or when all else fails ill simply revert if I can't find any relief in research and/or trial & error.

But more importantly, do you plan on releasing your PA Basement? It looks like a great place for power armor or maybe some Chains, Leather and Electrified Security Batons! 4Shades of Fallout sounds right...LoL...

I’m a bit surprised - yes, I’ll release it if people want. Though I’m not sure if I’ve done it in a “safe” manner, so I’ll check that with the experts first.

I will have to make it bigger, of course. Much bigger. Maybe several large-ish rooms. <_<

I’ll check around the Diamond City map a bit. It might make more immersive sense if this turns out to be an underground area that the Sole Survivor finds. Something like a “Diamond City - Underworld” type of thing.

Not certain if I have the skill, patience, and time for that sorta thing. Worth thinking about though.

A couple of cosmetic tweaks to do, got most of it sorted though.

The thing has two decent-sized and one large room. Navmesh is all through it. Ditto for using the workbench (a full workbench). Haven't managed to get Fast Travel as a target without some player mucking around, though it is possible to Fast Travel out of it.

Can assign LOOT Detector to send scrap to the basement.

And shifted a few pieces of Power Armor into there.

It looks as though Uncapped Settlement Surplus will work okay with it.

Wouldn't mind figuring how to get Sim Settlements working with it. No HUD at present. Too dog-tired at the moment to care about that, though.

BTW: You mentioned getting PA from dead Brotherhood soldiers. Is there a method to get the frames off of dead'uns?

I use this mod to restore the PA frame:

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20890/

Hit space and it restores it, though that might clash with the mod you’re asking about. I’ll grab it and test tonight to see what happens.

I see on that mod that there are several complaints regarding PA disappearing. That was news to me, resetting cells doing that. Like anything, long term effects are not guaranteed ;) so once I release this, make absolutely certain that you make a special save before installing and trusting it with your hard-stolen armor!

I might have to change things, make the rooms double-height or the like. That way some nice aerial shots will be possible. Should I make it all concrete, rather than peeling wood?

Concrete probably makes more sense.

Dug-out dirt would be the coolest. I've never seen that available for workshop builds as walls, just Kraggles blocks.

I hadn't seen that about the disappearances. I'll have to look at that.

I will be installing the Restore mod as soon as I get home!

Wish I had it last night when I cleared Quincy.

They seem to work fine together.

And the elevator music that plays while restoring the PA is a blast.
