Power Armor Basement

Could at least put a snarling vicious mongrel in there to guard the place... that way the armor shop isn't exactly "free" :)

I just found out about Worsins Immersive Power Armor Garage. Oh my.

Not sure I’ll ever use it. Man oh man though, am I glad that I released this. :)

I just installed the latest alpha of 2.0. It's really overwhelming. I may just go back to the old one for all the pretty colors.

Yup. It looks...too complicated for something that I don’t really use. Really interesting though!
—edit—
For you guys who do have fun with it, I’m really glad that I put together this “central” location for your use.

I think it adds about 300 new components.

And that's just to build the new armor mods.

It's epic.

But for someone like me who likes to play in cheat mode and just build pretty stuff, it's far too much work.

I bet playing a PA-focused game using all this stuff would be really fun for the meticulous resource-management, extreme difficulty type player, though.

Ive been wanting to try it, but ive been waiting until 2.0 hit. where did you find the Alpha @WetRats ?
From what id seen there were a few bugs but the author had taken time off and has been back at it lately working it and polishing the long-promised 2.0. The page on Nexus still shows the 1.7 version. It seems like it has has a TON of features to fiddle around with. Id lke to try it though because ive been wanting a true RED N BLK custom power armor with a custom jetpack. I envision running Whispers new mod and using Worsin for the color and other customizations. Although I'm not sure they would play well together. Especially with all the moving parts in Worsin's mod.

@Whisper has been kickin A** in terms of adjusting and making his mod something he can be proud of and something we can spend time PLAYING with and not trying to find ways to tweak it to get it to function. Thats the type of support and concern I like ! I'll definitely try em both together unless i find info which causes me to think that may not be a good idea. Most things can be fixed with a save of your saves and a good ol' Reload. If it cant work that way ill be sticking solely with Whispers basement mod and simply bypass the color options.

@SavageRock My basement mod is simply a space and several PA stands in one central never-going-to-be-attacked place... I would be extremely surprised if it interfered at all with Worsin’s mod.

It looks like you’ll need to build the special workbench that comes with his mod. Thankfully there is plenty of room in there to play around with!

Three or four workbenches.

Then make components to make more components to make yet more components to make even more components to finally start making armor mods. (and that's over-simplifying)

I think calling it a Power Armor Basement is causing a bit of confusion, but Whisper's Power Armor or Whatever the Hell Else You Need a Ton of Room For Basement is probably a bit too long a mod name.

Helluva lot too long lol. I made it for personal use - hadn’t originally envisaged releasing it. Was just some fun learning and to fulfill a personal desire for “safe storage” of my collection.

Power Armor Repair and Storage Facility is a more accurate description from my original point of creative view. Again way too long, probably crash the fast-travel map and suchlike. So shortened it to just Power Armor Basement at the time.

Soz about the confusion. It does have the basics needed though. And whoever gets it can rearrange/destroy the contents to their heart’s content. :)
—edit—
It could have been Home Plate Basement. Totally did not think of that.

I wasn't confused, and am very pleased you made it available.

But for those outside of our little sub-community, I can only imagine. :pilot

HOLY SH*?!?

Yep. Like I said, it's epic. A whole subgame.

A cheat patch is available, so you can just make the primary set of components without collecting *their* base materials, but by the time you've made your souped-up armor, you will have made a serious time investment.

No man!
No confusion at all, in fact perfect for doing exactly what you said it would exactly the way you said it should do it. If there aren’t any conflicts once the misses and the kiddos drop off, I’ll try @WetRats link to see how It plays out...
At the end of day (literally and figuratively) I prefer a mod that requires minimal tweaking. If his mod’s level of polish turns out to match the long wait for it, there may be a learning curve but still a valuable thing to tie into your kicka** storage space in my lineup.

The amount of work Worsin has put into it is incredible.

It's a truly Kinggathian accomplishment.

That’s what I thought when I read over it.

One day I might dig into it - like digging into Sim Settlements - will be a long time away though LOL

In playing around with radiant power, I learned something new. Power Conduits re-radiate power if they are close enough together.

So, I didn't need to put umpteen power-boxes in the PA basement. :jester

--edit--

IE: If close enough together, no wires are needed.

--edit2--

Or maybe I'm just running into general glitchiness. :grin:blush Grief, this is sooo hard to figure out at times!

Hmm, the ol' school metal ones, or the white cone-shaped ceramic ones added by the SOE pack? If its the ceramic ones are you using the ones that say (for snapping on power transmission sources) *I think that's what they say at least...I ask because there are a couple of different ones.
