Patch 2.2.1 of Sim Settlements 2/Chapter 2 and 2.2.3 of Workshop Framework are available now!

  • Power Sharing should now be stable, even when at remote locations such as HQ!
  • Resource categories will now resync themselves each day during the production cycle to alleviate an issue where the category numbers were not adding up to the total. Many of you should find you have a lot more virtual resources after this patch!*
  • Settlement population should no longer jump around, making HQ assignment work as expected every time (instead of 20% of the time...)!
  • Tons more bug fixes - check out patch note links below!
Xbox players, the versions to watch for when you can safely update are: 62 of SS2, and version 30 of Chapter 2.

*Since posting the video talking about resource categories being in a better spot, I have found there are still more issues - so this will definitely be getting more attention ASAP!

On deck for next patch is a heavy quest focus round, particularly focusing on the CPD and Concord quests which both have quite a few reports piled up!

I was previously having problems in hq with my control room not being cleaned or built after I have cleaned and built the control room. Was also having problems with Cassandra talking when first getting to hq. For some reason she would just keep walking saying we need to talk. The satellite tower mission also won’t complete even though i raised the towers. Xbox series x updating new updates now.

Careful with updates on Xbox. Best to check what version number it shows before you click download. If the version doesn't match what I posted above, the game will delete your mod install, and then not let you download the new version.
Sometimes takes 24 hours for the download to truly be available on Xbox!

i got an problem on nexus with the hud override download.
NMM shows me mine version is to old and i should dl version 2.2.1...
on nexus only is 1.1.0 as dl avail... what now? :)
only a wrong number or wrong file?

I had the hud production issue before this update so will wait 24 hours somewhere and let it update because it’s doubtful I have 2million of the radioactive materials.

im looking forward to the cpd fixes I noticed the gunners outfits had their transparency fixed that’s already a big plus for me. My biggest issues with CPD though was getting stuck with gunner ears and the mini quests you did as a detective could not be turned in.

They all were the correct current version when they were available last night that you posted. I went back on an older save and restarted pretty much but last I checked the control room was still not cleaned or built.
 
@kinggath Ive been using this since it was beta and just finished if I had a hammer on a fresh new install and playthrough. Not long after organic plots unlocked my resources in the Sanctuary HUD shot far past my allowed maximum as described in the latest video. I dont have a city plan or HQ or even a Caravaneer at this point.

It's "Organic Materials" that were way off for me too, which definitely feels like a clue.
In my own save from the just-finished public beta, my HUD said I had 100k+ Organic Materials in my own V.Storage just like kinggath's was in the patchnotes video - but I noticed when building stuff in HQ, it only said I had access to "31K" worth. I'm pretty sure that doesn't stop counting at a 'magic number' of 32768...
It couldn't possibly be something silly like there being a 'multiply' where there should be an 'add' in the code to draw those totals, could it?
 
I saw Crow as a tormented soul.
Because of his gifts he could make connections that no one else could, and had come to the realization that he was in a simulation.
So, he would drink to try slay his demons.
 
In my semi-breaking game, it appears that the recalculations are working well! Below are a couple shots of my stats before and after the recalculation script...

LCdr Frog it will probably fix itself after 24hrs of in game time, a day night cycle. Mine did at least, next time I went there it was correctly displayed.

I just happened to be watching the video where @kinggath mentioned that he thought it was a HQ or city plan bug right before this happened to me. Since Im at the beginning of the game and have neither of those are even possible in my save I was hoping it would be a helpful clue. Im thinking its one of the organic plot types.

Like you, I haven't build the HQ yet and I don't use City plans.
 
yeah, I just hit a point where this and the fires are a problem and there haven't been any major bugs reported, so I'm updating now.

So after a few in game days my resources are sorted fix worked pretty well.
 
So the updates only sort of fixes the issue. While the numbers match up, one of my resource categories maxes out my storage. I even removed all my virtual storage and started over, just for another category to max it out again. I don't want to switch to just scrap setting, but I have to in order to keep playing. Hopefully this is fixed soon, it breaks the game :(.
