Patch 2.0.2 - Get Extended is now live!

Granted I’m pulling mods from the main menu on Xbox, I just went to mods and searched for SS2. V49 was there. This morning when I was having all the issues with SS2 it only showed v47.
Now SS2 downloaded but SS2 Ch 2

uhh...i think you replied to the wrong person..lol ok how did that happen?
Cell phone and forum can be issues esp with my fat fingers.

so..idc about quality in games like skyrim and FO4
i hate lags..before i ask if there's one i need to know..will low quality graphics get me more performance in FO4?

Not always it just depends 1080p is super easy to drive by nearly anything now days if your on a series x dropping down from 4K to 1080 would probably make a difference. But it won’t help if the lag is script or engine related and not memory or vram related. Normally if it’s graphics related you will just have low FPS in areas with a lot going on.

the best bet is not to run multiple mods that add script related stuff or conflict with other mods and it should run normalish in creation engine terms.

Just released hotfix 2.0.0b which should fix the issue with HQ projects not doing anything after completing, this only required an update to the base mod, not Chapter 2.

Xbox players, note that the version of SS2 you should now be watching for is 50.

Post-patch, I am experiencing CTDs whenever I try to fast-travel to or load a save in Sanctuary. Trying to walk in from Red Rocket or Vault 111 sometimes works and sometimes CTDs.

Sanctuary is the only settlement where I have plots built from pre-patch. Quest-wise, I've completed Well, Well Well and just got the radio notification for Hub of the Problem. Tomorrow I'll build up another settlement and see if there are any issues traveling to it afterwards.

I... still don't understand what's exactly in SS2 Extended and what to do with it... Should we use it and not SS2? Or get both SS2 and SS2 Extended and load Extended after SS2 to overwrite it?

Ss2 extended is just the stuff that couldn’t fit into the Xbox so it was an additional mod on top of ss2 it’s essentially the textures and little things that had to be cut to get the mod under 1gig. As far as what it does it’s nothing just part of the mod you still need chapter 2 and anything else you used to begin with.

SS2 Extended has the following after patch 2.0.2:
  • New clothing store outfits
  • More HQ outfit variety
  • 6 new dog breeds for pet store
  • 7 new cat breeds for pet store
  • Companion themed flags
  • Custom explosions for most base mod building plans
  • Oh, and small dog armor too.

Just a quick clarifying question, on PC what are the version numbers we should have now. Example Bethesda had version SS2 at 48 today. You mention 2.0.2 etc is that nexus mod designations?

Anyone feel free to answer, he shouldn't be expected to answer all :)

That's was via Steam...

Had to rollback after updating to 2.0.2b. Whenever I attempt to go to my starlight drive settlement I immediately CtD (fast travel and approaching on foot). The culprit appears to be Old Pauls clothing according to the Buffout crash report. Specifically:
  • Materials\SS2\Clothes\OldPaul\Raider04.BGSM
  • Meshes\SS2\Clothes\OldPaul\OldPaulM.nif
Other than Fallout.exe, these are the only files that continuously show up in the Stack portion of my crash log.
Also, not sure if this is relevant, but I'm using Mod Organizer 2 portable and it seems to be looking for Old Pauls clothing in the default game directory.
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\Common\Fallout 4\Data\Materials\SS2\Clothes\OldPaul\Raider04.BGSM
I'm not sure if that is normal behavior for MO2's virtual file system or not, but my files are not located in the default \Fallout 4\Data\ location.

EDIT: Hotfix 2.0.0b fixes issues with HQ where projects would claim to be completed and nothing happened!

  • 67 new outfits added via SS2Extended (optional injection patch also available to get those outfits on settlers)!
  • Tutorial message history can now be accessed to re-read that message you just dismissed by mistake!
  • Companions can now be recruited for HQ if they are living at a settlement!
  • Automatic data corruption recovery added - if you had a buggy settlement, it might spring to life when you visit it next!
  • SS2Extended is now included by default on Nexus and is available via Bethesda.net for PC players (as is the optional injection patch)!
  • TONS of bug fixes!
  • And loads more!

In addition there is an update available for Workshop Framework!

Xbox players, the versions to watch for when you can safely update are: 50 of SS2, and version 22 of Chapter 2.

Kinggath, I do not mean to sound rude, but I am an Xbox player and the ss2 chapter 2 is not working for me, saying it needs files that are missing, could you help me resolve this?

Never mind I found out why.

Since updating to 2.0.2 this morning it seems i get a CTD every time I get in the vicinity of Old Paul. When doing quest casting a line. At the end of conversation with Jake where you tell him why you're interested in Asams and right before you get the notice to find out what's wrong with Old Paul was when it first occurred. Now any time i try to fast travel to Starlight drive in, which is my main quest settlement and where Old Paul is located i get a CTD. I can fast travel anywhere else close by and try walking to Starlight and get the same results, a CTD. Finished doing "if I had a hammer" and got the quest casting a line, then went to complete a minute man quest before calling it a night last night and experienced no problems. I got up this morning and went to the sim settlements web site noticed the release of patch 2.0.2 installed the relevant updates via vortex. started the game and all was working well until i went to see Jake. to do quest casting a line. I couldn't finish it for reasons stated, figuring it was casting a line what was broken for me, so I used holo tape to skip ahead to scavvers delight. Finished that quest with no problem. then went to fast travel back to starlight and got second CTD. Checked crash logs from when i tried to do casting a line and when i tried to fast travel to starlight after completing scavvers delight and both have one thing in common from what i see and that is references to Old Paul also both have same unhandled exception reference of "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" at 0x7FF6C9B5FB38 Fallout4.exe+27BFB38. I don't know how to upload the crash logs from buffout. If anyone can help me with instructions on how to do it i will upload them. Side note: I completed one playthrough already up to Commonwealth rising with little or no problems. I had built all my settlements using city plans and wanted to try my hand at building them placing down plots instead so i started a new game a day or so ago. It was only after installing the latest patch that the problem started.
