Katherine not building her shop in junkyard dog quest

I assigned Katherine to a industrial plot and she doesn't build anything I've waited for a couple of hours and she just sits in a chair and does nothing. Is there a fix for this?

It says to wait for her to finish setting up shop but I played for 3 hours after that message and I don't think she even got near the plot once

You should be able to assign her to any unbuilt 2x2 and she'll build her plot. Or assign her to any 2x2 prebuilt machine parts plot and she'll rebuild it

I haven't found her yet on this playthrough. When I do, I'll give it a shot to make sure its working correctly. IIRC, the last time I manually selected her plan before assigning her to the plot.

I have the same issues. Neither assigning Kate to an unbuilt, nor an already built 2x2 industrial plot does work.
Any ideas what else i could try?

I recently had the same problem. When I first assigned her to an industrial plot it seemingly bugged out & didn't properly build and after demolishing & rebuilding the plot the quest refused to advance even after I finally had her on the correct finished building.

What I did to get past this was to make sure she was assigned to the expected "Tear-Down Yard" industrial building and then advanced the quest with the console command

SetStage SS2_CharacterQuest_KatherineDrake 30

which let me finish the Junkyard Dog quest.
