Indoor plot possibly causing crashes

I've noticed my game crashes most of the time when I place indoor plots inside buildings, I've tried this method in sanctuary, red rocket, Jamaica plain and Taffington.

Whenever I place it down after a few seconds of it being built boom crash. Now bare in mind my settlements are small so it's not an overload. And my game system can handle it. I'm just not sure why it's only indoor plots that the issue with me.

Also, indoor plots DO NOT like the barn and metal walls from the wasteland industrial DLC.

Alright, let's check a few things first to try and narrow things down.

Is it a specific type of plot doing it (like say only Residential) or do they all do it?
Are you running any Addon Packs (if so, which one/s)?
Do you have Auto-Assignment turned on?

As far as I know, they all do it.
Add on pack i have so far is Junk town I believe.
And yes Auto-Assignment is on, haven't found it on settings yet. I'm still new to this mod.

Are you cleaning your settlement first with a scrap everything mod ?
Is there any mod you are using that adjust the build space or changes the build area, makes houses nicer, removes broken roads etc.

Yes I always scrap everything I don't need to improve frame rate. As for settlement mods. Only ones I have right now are fixed roofs on sanctuary and the bridge repair.

I have planned to get a taffington boathouse roof fixed mod because no matter how hard I try place everywhere mod doesn't work for me.

I would check your mod load order. I have used scrap everything and I could place all perfectly. I only don't use the settlement repair mods as I found that they might give issues, though not with plot placements. what happens when you reinstall SS2 ?

I'll be honest I don't have a firm grasp on mod order I just put mods whenever it reads like place on top or bottom. And I only have one that stays on top.

As far as I know, the only repair mods I have are the sanctuary roofs, bridges, and Jamaica plain. That's about it.

If you use scrap everything get rid of it. Use Raze my settlement. Don't use any mod that changes any aspect of a settlement unless you have to and can confirm its not conflicting. And learn how to at least adjust your load order. Mod Conflict is had to track down but learning some basics of xEdit will get you far. Especially being on PC.

The bad news to ditching Scap everything mid game is the damage is already done on any save. Especially if you did the ini precombine change version. So a new game without it is recommended.

Thanks, I'll look it up, knock on wood I haven't run into any problems, this may have been an issue before but the recent patch that came out I think has fixed it. But to be safe I figured I'd let the game do one interior plot at a time, this way has had the least amount of conflict.
