Solved HUD not updating or refreshing, and new settlers not arriving

Hey everyone. Having a bit of an issue that has stumped me. The HUD on the left side which shows the current status of the settlement's needs and such isn't updating, and new settlers aren't arriving even given lots of time. I don't know if these two issues are connected or not.

The error occurs in Sanctuary; I do not know for sure if it also occurs in other settlements but I've checked Red Rocket and it seems to have the same issue. This is a new save. I have all the SimSettlements base addons, as well as a few other addons.

I have a fairly large mod load order, and I am running Horizon (with the "official Horizon - Sim Settlements patch"), and while I have poked around in FO4Edit to try to tease out any conflicts, I don't really trust my own abilities in the matter.

I tried to upload Modlist and a save file, but it's not letting me post a link, so if there is some other way for me to add a link let me know so I can share them.

Thanks in advance for any help; if there is any other information you need let me know.

For science, trying configuring your HUD to only show when you are in workshop mode [ Gameplay Options | HUD Options | https://simsettlements.com/web/wiki/index.php?title=Holotape_HUD_Options#Workshop_Mode_Only ]

Instead of it always constantly trying to update and often getting lagged or delayed, configured this way it should update each and every time you enter workshop mode.

The best thing for reliable recruitment is to set up a recruiting settlement. Red Rocket is a perfect candidate, especially if you are building both Abernathy and Sanctuary. Set up a beacon. Then send everyone that shows up to other settlements. When your population is zero, you should recruit new settlers each and every day.

Also, you can try increasing https://simsettlements.com/web/wiki...e_Gameplay_Options_Recruitment#Max_Unemployed from its default to five.

Thanks, those are good ideas, and will try them. Already had the Max Unemployed to 5, but perhaps there was something else messing with it.

Will see if those work and go from there.

Ok, this is a rockstar kind of suggestion.

just started a new game. At some point I expect my hud to glitch in the same way. Starting a new game it always works, then later in the game it stops updating while in the settlement. Always resets correctly after a restart so not a big deal, and for me it is mostly just the power meter. Still, I do find it annoying. :crazy

I have been leaving it on. I will try this. Makes sense! :good

Thanks @bullyrook! :dance2

I will try this.

I'd be interested in knowing, once you switch, if just moving around your bigger settlements seems better.

Once I switched, I swear it seems like I went from dragging ass to skating on ice. I could very well just be imagining it.
