Hi All,

Not directly related to SS but I've just built a synth Raider/Institute/Evil Play though game build and I am having a great time. It's a combat focused play though so I don't have to spend my time picking up every item of scrap I'm not doing crafting in the early levels so I have to rely on what I pick up which is a change. (this is all a big change from how I usually play :)

The Core of the play though is an impressive set of mods which really make combat interesting and challenges the same old same old. Its survival level difficulty but with some added tools that make Survival doable when you are short of time and cant spend hours walking around the commonwealth :)

It uses BRB's modlist as a base -> https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23556

And I need to highlight Immersive Fallout - Just makes a few subtle changes that make the whole game feel more realistic and immersive.

Unlimited Survival Mode - F4SE - Yay for Fast Travel. :)

Survival Configuration Menu - - Just For when you need to tweak the odd survival setting.

Better Locational Damage and Optional Gameplay Overhauls _> https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3815?tab=files - Having to headshot Super Mutants only with .308 or better makes for interesting challenges.

Auto Eat and Drink in Survival - As long as I have sufficient food and water it handles the rest. :)

DEF_SSW Survival Stats widget redone - Neanka has rebooted his very helpful widget which lets you place the 3 bars of food, water and rest anywhere on the screen.

Nameplates - Floating Healthbars - While not the most immersive, I find it really handy to have a visual representation of the health of the enemy/NPC in the game.

SKK Combat Stalkers (hostile spawns) - This is amazing. Hostiles pop up at random times to add spice to travelling around. You can tune them to suit your game play and it is great. Except when you make it too hard and Super Mutants turn up at lvl 5. :O

Pack Attack NPC Edition - Gangs With Group Combat Tactics - This is incredible. Its an NPC AI upgrade which makes enemies act and react in combat allot more smarter. They will flank you. They will grenade you. They will get revenge on fallen comrades!!!!

Deadlier Deathclaws - I haven't come across one yet but I am scared already.

More Attackers - Get Off My Buildzone - Fixes the enemies spawn inside wall fortress issue and you can turn Settlement attacks into "The HORDES are COMING!!!!!!"

SKK Settlement Attack System - You can fine tune the Settlements attacks even further! (includes Vertibirds...........)

The combination of these have really made my game into something very new, fresh and fun. (Except for Supermutants, Deathlcaws and Vertibirds! They are hard! :)

yet again. :bye I think you nailed all the mods that make any playthrough more fun. I am not using survival mode but I use all the others at the very hard setting then modify that even further with the GCM. I nurf experience "mostly from crafting and multipliers and crank up the damage. If you have a lot of hours in-game this can do a lot to keep it interesting. :yahoo
:blush
I think that is a fantastic list of mods that would benefit any game. :clap

I just had an attack that took one settlement settler count from 19 to 6. Brutal.
:punish but much more immersive.

Ok, I lied. I have never used "Immersive Fallout" WTH, now that is a pro-level recommendation. How did I ever miss that one?

Hey thanks for pointing me towards Survival Configuration Menu, Survival Options stopped working for me a long time ago so this will be a good replacement.

Also, does SKK allow the Brotherhood of Steel to raid my settlements with vertibirds? I've never been attacked by the BoS before, and i've heard thats vanilla, would be cool if I could trigger that at will

Hey @nzane ! Yes. You can configure HOSTILE vertibirds which enables vertibird attacks from the appropriate faction. I have not tried it yet but I tend to bump up the Strengths of Vertibirds in my game so I think it will be terrfying. :)

@Sirlach Thanks so much for the awesome list :D are there any settlement mods that you think synergize well with both sim settlements and survival? for example whats your fav fast travel mod?

Hi @GhostManPRO

If you just want easy Fast Travel then I recommend Unlimited Survival Mode.

If you want an immersive fast travel experience that you can configure that ties in nicely to settlements then I highly recommend Lone wanderer fast travel.

Outside of the ever expanding Sim Settlements and all its amazing add-ons i find the following mods give me enough scope and tools to build whatever I need in a settlement.

CREAtive Clutter
G2M - Workshop
Warehouse Extension Set
Homemaker - Expanded Settlements
Moddable Robot Settlers Compilation

:acute

I also play very hard level, with nerfing and such in GCM change incoming to 4 and outgoing to 2). Combat Stalkers (which you can enable vertibirds to search for you), Snipers of the Commonwealth, FO4 travelers, Pack Attack, etc.

To survive, I have become a really good player. My skills have tremendously increased by adding these, as well as using tactics.

To really make hard, add Raider Overhaul, Supermutant Overhaul, Synth Overhaul, the Child Atom, etc... and dang, it get amp'd up hardcore.

John

EDIT: if you use the faction overhauls, I would change in GCM outgoing/incoming to be equal otherwise you will be absolutely slaughtered - pack attack really changes how the combat AI of enemy come after you....
