smh. It's becoming almost comical, how this game manages to fail, and fail with gusto. I arrive at HQ, Sunshine Tidings this campaign, to distant gunfire--from the gunner camp on the overpass to the south. None of my guys have engaged at this point, so I figure it's something else going on.
I ignore it, knowing "Unwelcome Guests" is about to start, which it does. Except that, yeah, that gunfire going on? It's Aiden, on top of the overpass, being shot by the gunners--I learned this as the scene cuts away to him. The scene then completely stalls when it pans back to my character, because, yeah... one of the speakers is out of range. How the hell did the scene start in the first place?! #dammitfallout
I had to jet up to the overpass, kill the gunners, and 'rescue' Aiden so the scene could finish. But god oh god this stuff drives me nuts.
Of course, my companions and the outpost's compliment didn't like the imposters; Aiden had great difficulty escaping, being pummeled alive. Invisible or not, he was set on fire again and again, action lasted about 10 minutes before the script mercifully spirited him away. Satisfying all in all.
