Does anyone know how to fix SS2 not working despite the magazine still showing up in Sanctuary?

So, I installed SS2 onto the Fallout 4 that I had just got for my laptop. I played Fallout 4 and became experienced with it on my xbox, but had to get it (and fallout 4) on my laptop due to my xbox not being able to handle the sheer amount of mods that were on it- Ok, so I do all this, play it for a bit, all is working fine. I go back to using it after abt a month, and start a new game- (Yes, I updated SS2, after I came back to it) and the robotics magazine shows up, the ASAMS & stuff in Concord show up, but nothing else. What happened? Incase it is conflicting settlement mods, here’s the many I have: Conquest (For establishing my own settlements), SS2 chapter 2 & 3 (and the base ss2), Creative Clutter, Grounded, You can now live in: Posiden Energy Substation (Not sure if that is the exact name), Grounded, Workshop Frameworks, Settlement Menu Management, SKK Settlement Attack (Can’t remember the rest of the name), Snappy Building, and a couple more. Does any of these mods conflict? Or is there something else wrong? (Edit: Sorry so long, I just wanted to try and make sure I put anything and everything that might be the problem on here)

Another question - did you use a city plan? They auto build a beacon usually. If so Jake is waiting wherever the first beacon is :)

So, I did build a standard one, and no I couldn’t use a city plan because there was NOTHING but the magazine & those ASAMS in concord…

All you need to found a city is a desk, 20 ASAMS, and patience. You dont even need settlers :D

The plan will auto level the buildings according to its design rather than starting at 0.

Once it is built you can use the desk to swap and remove the city plan.

Not sure if that helps right now but hopefully if not being useful now it will be useful later.

Thx! I saw that a lot of my mods were non-compatible, but ‘Conquest’ for example, were ones that do not mess up SS2 directly, but you just can not build plots in the ones that you create w/ Conquest
So, I’m not really sure still. I’m not new to SS1, or SS2, but i’ve never had this problem. I might be able to resolve it by un installing and then reinstalling… I will try what you said tho.

Thx! I think I am close to resolving it, but that will be helpful later. One thing I like to do is modify the crap out of this mod via the holotape, and when no holotape existed, or could be created, I knew something was wrong. Thx!

Yea I tried mixing SS1 and SS2 a while back and it didnt end well. I realized eventually that there was a note you should never ever run the two together. Im sure KG tried to make them compatable but the systems just do not play well with each other. My main issue was they would overwrite the other mod no matter what I tried leaving both mods crippled.

After I get this resovled, I think I am going to try and attempt to figure out a way to make a mod that patches some of the compatibility issues…
