Sure. Here are a few. And be sure to go into the Files tab to select the downloads, NOT the big green Download button at the top of the list. I have no idea why Nexus puts that there, as it often messes things up.

SREP Redux, the U.S. M16 in all its glory.
RU-556 AR15 style rifle. And RU-556 Armory Project, nice selection of add-ons. I have no clue why that first link refuses to be green.
Mk18 Combat Rifle, and check out the extra downloads like its own Armory Project.
FN FAL - SA58, a .308 rifle. I use FO4Edit to give the .30 cal rifles appropriate damage, particularly sniper rifles, and .50 cal which is seriously nerfed.
Bullpup Bozar, for a more lore friendly rifle I like a lot.
SCAR-H, another fine .30 cal rifle I like. Old but good. There are newer SCARs, but this one seems the best all around for me.

There are also Kalashnikov rifles if you want some Russian AK action, particularly the Zenit AK74M. There is an AK400 modernized combat rifle, but that's being updated so it's currently unavailable.

I might try them though nothing beets the Remington 700 ( Xqtion) for my sniper play or the power armor power play with the Miniguns Rebirth (Skibadaa) its all about the gameplay . though I wonder how chapter 3 will playout with heavily defended settlements, all with the dig guns, one even with the train mounted K5 gun. To be honest the gunner make no chance invading my territory with there troops. it will be a shooting gallery.

While I do too, I have some fantastic weapon mods, and I tweaked them with FO4Edit to make sure they're properly butch. Even the 10mm pistol, which really should be more deadly than a .357 magnum. And no more of this 25% damage unmodified malarkey for me. As a vet, I like to make things match reality for the most part. Of course, it also means I get shot up pretty bad sometimes... and my poor settlers...
I never liked the bullet sponge of Bethesda games I use a lot of weapon mods that are like 1 to 3 hits take down same for me to have been head shot killed more than a few times, rather have it realistic and exciting, I guess. no editing on my end though so occasionally you run accross a dude that takes a while to kill.

I use all of those also except the bullpup not a fan of the design factor on bullpups, don't forget the Glock 19 mod and a few other pistols and you are pretty much set.

For some reason I blanked on the pistols. I'll paste in a few of my faves, as well as some other weapons and shotguns.

I would highly suggest getting FO4Edit (xEdit) and adjusting almost everything. Also getting at the vanilla weapons with Edit or a mod to make sure all rifles, pistols, SMGs and shotguns are within a range you like. I've looked up the ammunition ballistic properties of all the ammo calibers, and the .50 BMG delivers around 35 times the damage of a .45 ACP, to give you an idea of the range.

In any case, I just eliminated all Raiders from Nuka World, so I now have another settlement to add to the list. And another group of upcoming citizens to arm up. A general's job is never done.

Completely unrelated but I considered getting rid of them all as well. Still on the table. I heard nothing happens other than the merchants still being there just with slave collars removed. Let me know how it works out.

The WHOLE map can become one big settlement? maybe we need a city plan just for that :D

Oh, so you don't mind a place chock full of Raiders talking about killing all the time? :blum

Other than the place being a LOT happier, the other change is there are fewer raids on the Red Rocket settlement, as it's cut back to Super Mutants, feral ghouls and Gunners, now that the Raiders are gone. Mostly. There will still be stragglers that have to be killed off periodically.

As for weapons, which is rather on topic as it's nice to have a selection of weapons and armor to give your citizens in defense against those naughty Gunners, here are some more. As always, download from the FILES tab, not the Download buttons, and be sure there are no weird requirements you don't mind installing.

Combined Arms weapons pack which has a very nice selection of pistols, combat rifles, a shotgun, a family of belt fed machine guns, and sniper rifles including the deadly overpowered - I mean nerfed - Barrett M82 .50 cal. It includes some Soviet weapons for variety. The Steyr rifle also comes in 9- and 10mm and makes a great SMG. There are a few more goodies in the Expansion Pack, including a neat FN P90 submachinegun. I also keep on me an ACR-W17 because among its mods is a "body finder," and it's super handy for finding those Raiders and Gunners you down with their fat loot, when the Commonwealth foliage seems to greedily absorb them. There are corpse locator mods, but the ACR also makes a pretty okay SMG.

For pistols, aside from the CA Pack, I dig the Colt 6520 - and use the vanilla 10mm pistol replacer mod because the 10mm is just baaad, the N99 pistol from Fallout New Vegas, the Glock 19x, and... jeepers, there are a TON of good pistol mods. Just search for pistols, and you'll have a treasure trove. Look for highly rated and high downloaded guys.

For shotguns, the Fostech Origin 12 is handsome and magazine fed. Other than that, there are a few variations you might like.

I'd also recommend a few camoflage fatigues for your Minutemen and guards to help them stand out. And most clothing mods like these allow ballistic weave / kevlar for added protection. Military Combat Fatigues, ZX Camoflage Fatigues, and again, search for "fatigues," "uniforms" or "outfits" to get a wide range of outfits to suit any taste.

I also use mods to adjust the vanilla weapons so they're easier to modify with FO4Edit, such as Weapon-Ammo Rebalance, or Combat Rifle Overhaul which is a dandy enhancement to the vanilla rifles. Finally, I suggest getting Equipment and Crafting Overhaul, which is a mod which lets you adjust a LOT of parameters for weapons and armor, as well as adding Legendary Effects to gear if you so choose. Finally, I'd suggest the Advanced Settlement Turret Set, an old mod that still works great, offering very powerful turrets - and self powered to boot.
Now let's get ready to push those Gunners back, soldiers! And their string pullers too! :agree:

I'm sure you've been told this before, but aside from the unbelievable genius of what you and your team have achieved within the engine limits, you know how to put together a damned fine narrative.

oh man...
I'm still playing chapter one after all these years because i keep running into issues with vortex just crapping itself and crawling up its own bunghole.
anyways.
Nate&Nora's Wild Wasteland Adventures - Settlements Sensations | Chapter 3: Unfortunate Son

There's a factual error in this trailer, Theresa says that they've 'captured more ground' - ain't gonna happen on my watch all of my settlers are heavily armed and equipped it'll be a curb stomp battle once they start showing up

Not strictly but for the best results, probably. Even though you can bet there will be patches in the first weeks so might as well play it on the old save for a while.

Trailer looks amazing!

So it's prudent to do everything in SS2 chapter 2, and make a hard save then, before making faction choices? I'm about 3/4 of the way through chapter 2 and I really don't want to have to start over again if at all possible.

This is purely me hazarding a guess, but I'd estimate that your choice of vanilla faction or factions will have fairly minimal impact, just like it did in Chapter 2, so you can probably be at whatever point in the "main quest" you like.
(My best guess is that it'll let you "recruit troops" for the War mechanics from the faction or factions you are part of and that's about it - which is more than acceptable, as long as I can bury The Gunners alive in Gen 1 Synths)

looks great i just wonder if this is somehow linked to game progress with the factions as i am wondering if support from lets say institute or BOS is linked to wether or not that faction is dominant in the wasteland ?
i am just wondering playing with also the project valkury mod and at the point where i can make all factions get along would hate to have to chose wether BOS institute or minute man would blow up the oppostition just so gunners could wipe us all of the map !

This looks really awesome. Just finished C2 few days ago. Atm I'm focusing on gathering scrap for the settlements.
And still have to go to Nuka world.
But yeah like so many others can't wait for it to come out.
