Chapter 3 Teaser Trailer

I'm so very intrigued! I hope you don't mind me asking, but do you have a rough guesstimate on a time frame? I can see the team already has quite a good bit done so far.

It will be this year. My understanding is that a lot of it depends on when Bethesda decides to release Starfield.

I would keep an eye on the Starfield release date. This seems to be one of the things KG is using to measure the project schedule.

If sooner in the year, the Team will likely have to hurry a few things in Ch3.

If Starfield is delayed, it will give the SS2 team more time for a more polished and complete CH3.

In both cases, I am actually hoping for 2half of 2023. Given the above. hahahahaha, I don't want to start Starfield in June :yes3

:friends Absolutely nothing I said above is official, so please take it with a grain of salt! :declare

I don't either. :swoon

But as much as I whine and mope about having nothing to do in the Commonwealth lately, I hope that both Bethy and his majesty and court will take the time to produce a nice, polished, BIG Chapter 3, worthy of a Bond flick.

Don’t worry. MunkySpunk is about to change that in a “VERY VERY” big way.

More than enough to keep folks busy until ch3 is done.

Start getting ready for your next save file.

Been eagerly waiting for that, too!

Took the day off from work today. Ive been waiting for the Chapter 3 expansion to jump back in to Fallout 4. Its looking like a cross between Conqueror and Chapter 2. Is it going to be better to be in a playthrough with a functioning HQ or start a fresh game with Chapter 3? If its better to get HQ going first then I can start working on a load order and playing today, otherwise I will wait.

Oh for pete's sake, of all the timing... I was just about to start a new playthrough and be a bit tidier about how I go about things, with a small bit of experience point under me belt. Now I have to google up MunkySpunk... :scratchhead

Edit: so... I take it this will mean something more than SS2 jewelry and adjustable wrenches HD??

Yes, it is more.

I'll say this. "This isn't your normal Fo4 Mod" it is one of the few exceptions.

Yeah... the Sherriff looks to be more like a Rust Devil. I hope the mod doesn't mind if I get a little bleeding heart conservative, and refuse to go genocidal on certain folk. :nea I quit the vanilla quests up to the point of making death choices, after all, and even agreed to let Lupe evac GNN. Even though that may bite us all in the tailpipe...

But I'll sure give this a go.

No launch date yet - but we're getting enough done we were able to put this together...

wow , looks good as usual, love your work

I may be wrong but I could have sworn I heard Kinggath say, during a live stream earlier in 2022, that he was hoping to get Chapter 3 out by the end of summer 2022 because Chapter 2 took far too long to get out. I totally get that wasn't a release date promise but a goal. I have no problem waiting for it. If they're timing its release with a Starfield release, however, that may not work out well for reception. A lot of people, myself included, have used Fallout 4 as a filler game and thanks to people like the SS2 team it's still worth playing. However, when Starfield releases I think people who have thousands of hours in FO4 are going to abandon ship, IMO.

Or... Starfield will be total dumpster fire and people will flock, in droves, back to Skyrim and Fallout 4. :grin

I think we should all remember to not buy games on release. The last few years should be the reason why. As for chapter 3, whenever it comes out, we'll play it anyway. It's gonna be a while, either way. I'm betting it will still be more polished on release week than Starfield :D

People don't learn. They will be all over Starfield, just like any other major release, the minute the pre-ordering becomes available. They can't live without that bonus set of armored undies they get by doing so.

Pardon me while I mark those words. :grin Was it the UFO4P people who had to help his majesty squash radroaches?

Hey, those armored undies are one more level of protection - where it counts! :blum Yeah, I'm gonna be all over Starfield at launch. I might wait a few patches to play it, but that is subject to my whims.

I did wait seven months to play Ch 2, and it was still a little rough, so I'm hoping the king and his court learned themselves a few things with the previous two efforts for 3.

I plan on pre ordering Starfield, but it will probably be a good 4 or 5 months before I sit down and do some serious playthrough attempts, want to see what comes out for mods. Ever since I discovered bethesda games could be modded like this, i wont play any of their games without mods. Vanilla is so bland.

Edit: I shouldn't say bland, that's not accurate or a good word to use or fair. Modders think of things to add to a game either dev's could not because of time constraints or just didn't think of it when developing. Fo4 I liked before I added mods, as well as Skyrim, but once I added that first mod for Skyrim, it was all over... must...have..mods...

I'm pretty sure the plan was to release Chapter 3 before Starfield is released as they are aware that Starfield's release will most likely mean less folks playing Fallout.

In the words of Deacon, abso-[censored]-lutely.

The trailer is amazing. I've been looking forward to Chapter 3 for months now and the trailer just makes it that much more difficult to wait.
