So I am 100 % new to this modding thing and Am trying to get a hang of it by following kinggaths builders toolkit tutorial but I have run into a wall as I can't figure out how to open the ss.esm file in the -File -Data tab in CK as the .esm file is not showing in the list. All the vanilla game files are showing.

I am using MO2 to manage my files and I have had a suggesful game in Fo4 using it and I know how to use it but at this thing I can't figure it out.

Open the CK
click on File then data
Check in Fallout4.esm and Simsettlements.esm
Then press OK
then you can save you esp and next time you open just click on your esp and make it active.
also if you are looking to make a addon or onterested in modding ask for a invite to the builders toolkit

Yes I know this but the problem is there is no simsettlements.esm in there and I have it correctly installed. I think the issue is that it is not in the Data folder of Fo4 as to correctly use MO2 you don’t put nothing extra In the Fallout game folder. So how to solve this?

You'll need to put all of the Sim Settlements files in your Fallout/Data folder in order to use them in the Creation Kit.

Do they need to be there all the time I make something for Sim Settlements or is it enough to just temporarily add then there just for this process?
