Altairp's Animal Farm - Welcome

@Altairp lol thats what i get for tring to post a response from my tablet only posted part of it. It should have said sorry Bethesda screwed up on the update

@Lortrick I've clicked a few buttons and hopefully uploaded the right version on Xbox. Try now?

@Altairp dang it, just loaded up my mods management screen on Xbox it shows your addon needs to be "updated" but it looks like you added stuff and now I don't have enough free space left to even update it. I guess I'll have to start going though my list of "can delete if necessary" mods because I really like your AddOn and I got's to have it. So you owe me one.

Just kidding around, thanks for getting the updated version up. I will try to test it out once I first make enough room to install it.

Awesome! ...do tell me if you can see the Cat Farm/Mess Hall once you update it :>

Hi @Altairp ,

I'm still in the process of identifying and removing mods (making space) so I can try your updated version (and experience the wonder of the new cat farm).

As I am going through my mod list I am also taking the opportunity to compare the "updated" versions to the older descriptions currently on the Wiki AddOns page.

So I wanted to let you know that I have updated the information on the AddOns page for Altarip's Animal Farm with the most current information:
https://simsettlements.com/web/wiki/index.php?title=AddOns#Altairps_Animal_Farm

Please let me know if anything is incorrect. I changed "Altairp's" to "Altairps" because the ( ' ) was causing numbers to be added to the url (of the link). I have made the update in the same "style" as before but with a few improvements I have been making on other newer AddOns.

FYI - I have bigger plans for a redesign/reorganization of the AddOns section to have images, more details per AddOns, and even videos. However, right now I am just trying to get everything current information-wise as well as make sure all AddOns are actually listed.

Best Regards,

Bludthurst

I have the cat farm as an option but i haven't used it yet, also the mess hall which i will use a lot, I've not seen it update it's self yet but we needed more restaurants/bars ,so very happy.

Then it means that the update worked. Awesome!

Everyday when i go to play the game i always go to mods page and update as nedded and see whats new out there.... :)

They should all be the same except the ones that are noted in the description as producing half food because they provide some other benefit.

Hey @Altairp

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but you farm expansion caused some real issues with SS 3.0 in Sanctuary. Someone in another forum suggested it might be do to the large dirt pile size they have, but what happened was one of your plots ended up being placed in mid air, without an ASAM sensor, and with the giant dirt pile covering much of the SS Sanctuary building level 0.

I tried all manner of fixes, but the only one that worked was uninstalling your mod.

Another option for future builds is to remove your mod as an option for RotC builds, only placing them by hand. Since I really love your mod for the sake of teh Brahmin milk, cats and other fun goodies, I might just end up going that route with an older save or a new game. But it'd be awesome if there was a way to fix this without all the work arounds.

Thanks for what you do.

Yeah, I'm aware of this issue that popped up. @Tinuvia mentioned of an ancient bug where a dirt plot (not mine - it was either from someone else's addon or the main mod) ended up inside the Prydwen with no pole. This one seems similar.
...honestly, though, I have no idea of what caused it; I'll need to ask around in Discord.

In the meantime: could you tell me what happens if you reinstall the mod? Does the plot screws up again? I've uploaded the second half of the version you had on XBOX One. Maybe that could change some things. If that fails, you could blacklist my plots from spawning automatically and see if you can place them manually.

The recent hotfix and your update didn't fix it.

I haven't gone so far as to totally uninstall and then reinstall your entire add-on beyond that. When I disable it, the plot does go away entirely.

This isn't entirely your fault (I'm a chronic new-playthrough starter - still haven't ever beaten the game!) but this catalyzed me to begin a new playthrough with handful fewer mods, including one which changed the layout of Abernathy Farm. I didn't know what else might be lurking behind this in my save and it was still early enough that I would rather keep it as clean as possible. On the new playthrough I am blacklisting your agriculture plots from the manager's desk with the intention of just planting them myself outside of the RotC build plan.

On another note, your update added quite a few Mbs. I haven't seen if you posted what was added, and am curious about what else got added.

Again, thank you for the work! I'm no modder, but I'm grateful for those who are.

So one idea i do have for this addon is that the brahmin milking pen is locked behind first getting a razorgrain farm plot.

reason's behind this idea:
1. it would make more sense this way so you would have something to feed the brahmin.
2. it will reduce the fact most people will most likely just spam the brahmin milking pen for the reason that it produces 4 food at level one, also with the fertilizator that can be used for ammo and jet making.
3. it also makes more sense in terms of the games lore since you need razorgrain in order to lure a brahmin over to your settlment.

Your idea is something that I was considering: an agricultural plot requirement for a animal plot (and also shove the milking pens into industrial).
...thing is, for the standard plots, it may be boring or put off some players from trying out the mod.
