Add Bed Only Residential Plots

I thought it would be great to have a residential plot that is only a bed with maybe a stand/chest next to it. Level 1 could be just a sleeping bag and then eventually upgrade to a full nicer bed. Potentially have a bunk version for multiple people?

This comes to mind only because I was trying to fit indoor residential plots into the ruined sanctuary houses.

Honestly, if you want something this simple, it sounds like the perfect starting point to start trying modding. I have a hard time believing I could think of a plot that would be simpler to design.

Also, look into existing addons. My sanctuary can hold close to 20 settlers only on interior plots. Junktown has a series I call the Hobo plots which are using basically only half of the plot, the half that is closer to the wall. And then there is Apocalyptic Additions which has over 15 interiors that only use a 1x1 space in the interior. With these two you should already have a lot of what you're looking for.

Edit: Also, most of the bedrooms in Sanctuary can hold an interior plot easily. These two addons are to be able to use some of the smaller rooms.

Check out this mod. It looks like the interior rooms that are beds only and 1x1 in size.

I second this, it is an awesome addon. And I also would really like the 1x1 interior plot type added into the game. It is weird that we have 1x1 exterior but not 1x1 interior! I always made a lot of 1x1 rooms before Sims Settlements, and it would be a nice and welcome addition for more than just residential. Sanctuary houses have a lot of spaces that are too small for the other interior plots, and I wish that I had more ways to take advantage of them for SS2 gameplay.

there are a couple that literally do not have beds, the Lay animation is on a rug on the floor. There's a couple that technically have beds, but it is no bed I'd ask a person to sleep in. There's one that is ALL bed - with a baby carriage planted on top. Seriously? This is all IMO stuff, to each his own.

just be aware that many of those plots don't actually have beds.
Just be aware. That's a lie.

Every single one of the plots have beds for settlers. The fact that it doesn't look like a bed doesn't make it any less of a bed.

And if the poster is not happy with these looks, then by all means he can use any of the other addons that add 16 different and themed residential 1x1 plots. Or make his own addon that adds 1x1 residentials.

Sorry, dude, I didn't mean to step on your chops. I also went looking for small internal beds and found Apocalyptic Additions, but for my style of play, the residentials mostly don't fit. Call of Duty works well in a bastion at the Castle, say, 3 to a long wall -- but that level 3 board at the base of the bed kills it for something like a utility room in Sanctuary. I really like Writer, a sensible room for a sensible citizen in a recovering Commonwealth, and I use Espionage a lot as well, though I delete the brick wall that tends to stick thru ceilings. The Brotherhood of Steel one, Patriot?, is nice, but I forced myself to do a BoS playthru only once, long ago, to make sure I still didn't like the sons-of-bitches, so I've not yet actually used it in a settlement. The others...not my thing. The Martial plots, on the other hand...I use several of them on a regular basis.

Yeah, I've been working my way thru kg's tutorials, specifically looking to build interior residentials/leisures that fit into spaces that actually exist in the Commonwealth, like the Utility room in the Sanctuary houses, and those 1-and-a-quarter spaces in the castle, or that wide-enough but not deep-enough space at Taffington Boathouse, by the opening to the kitchen. I like building things, that's why I'm still playing this game, after all.
So, you've had some experience building SS2 plots, yes? I've yet to attempt a Martial plot, but I really need Minuteman Artillery that I can actually assign someone to, where they don't wander away as soon as I leave. It is...deep breath...very annoying. There were a couple available in SS1, not yet ported to SS2 that I can find, so I thought I'd try my hand at it in the mean time. Is it hard to get an artillery piece on an SS2 plot to interact with the smoke grenades, do you know?

I'm informed there's a couple of 3x3 Martials that "function as" Minutemen Artillery pieces in uituit's "Junktown 2" addon pack. I say "function as" because they don't look like the vanilla artillery piece, and don't technically animate 'correctly' - but at the range you'd be using artillery at, not like you'd notice.

You didn't step on my chops. It's not my mod. I haven't released an mod yet. That's not why I called you a liar. No the reason I did that is a lot simpler: you lied. You said something that is provably untrue. And you got called out. Had you said you thought they were ugly or you thought they were stupid, that's one thing, it's an opinion and you're entitled to your opinion.

But to tell players who are looking for 1x1 residentials that these aren't bed is flat out a lie and one I don't understand why you felt the need to tell. It was pointed out that it was untrue by two people and instead of admitting you were wrong or changing the original post to avoid misleading people you doubled down claiming it was an "IMO stuff". You said they weren't beds, that's not an opinion. It's disinformation.

I love your idea Stupidface perhaps the lot would be bigger and instead could be called a bunkhouse. It generally would require a larger plot perhaps a 1x2. Level 1 for this structure it could be littered the a handful of sleeping bags and when the building increases in level the sleeping bags become bunkbeds allowing double the amount of settlers.

I have almost many time wanted to do this, however I am a retired developer and after my experience with making Sims, yes to original, mods I don't think my OCD would allow me to stop once I start. Meaning I would play less and develop more and I am retired from that. I don't want to reinvent the wheel. There are many of talented plot designers out there that actually want to build plots so a suggestion like this should fall into the already large pol of plot designers wheelhouses nicely with as you say minimal work.

There are plots add-ons for this but they still clucky for the new user. Apocoliytic add-on as mentioned has plots for this but again their use was not truly understood by me until just the past few days and i have been using then for years. Maybe make an actual 1x1not 1x1 1/2 interior plot design. Problem solved right there.

Apocolyiptic add-on interior res plots are not actually 1x1 in size. They are designed to only use a 1x1 area of a 1x1 1/2 sized plot. You have to use Place Anywhere to be able to clip them trough walls. And they are all aligned so the plot occupies the RHS of the plot so again can be limiting. However it is an awesome add-on.

yes, there are 3 I use consistently, Call of Duty, Espionage and Writer. The others I wouldn't sleep in, so I don't ask my settlers to either. The BOS themed one is kind of nice as well, but those folks rub me the wrong way, so I've not used it.
