Wonder plan for Plots. (not new plot type)

So i had an idea cause of one of the updates added something unique to one of the settlements. But why not add that special ability to existing plot types.

One settlement can have access to a plan that only that settlement can use like some kinda super entertainment plan or one super industrial, farming, commercial. Something unique to that settlement and you can only have one of on that settlement.

I got that idea from AOE2 when you'd build a wonder after you felt like you've reached a peak in the game to proudly display.

That's pretty cool.

Wonders aside, I also think the idea of plots that can only be built at certain settlements, but without having to commit to a city plan, is worth exploring.

Yea and this avoids the need for a brand new plot all together. It just uses existing ones and uses the different types so you can have some really special for each.

I like this idea. (I was the one who made the "wonder plots" suggestion).

So did I.
That being said, if they are "wonders", especially if they provide more benefits than normal plots, I'd recommend making them advanced industrial plots, and have you need to donate more supplies to upgrade them through the stockpile system. (As you said, like in AOE2. They would cost a lot). The extra price would make it feel more rewarding when you fully upgrade it.
One final thing. This reminds me a little of an idea I had for the settlement system (not for Sim Settlements), that unfortunately can't really be added with mods. The idea is that certain settlements could be built around or next to the remains of a pre-war facility of some kind, and you can either scrap it for parts and space, or you can rebuild it and gain the benefits. I guess I'm kind of hoping this will end up getting added to a future Bethesda game.

As much as I like the idea of plots that are unique to a particular settlement, I was wondering (sorry) if wonders could be a new plot type, maybe four times the footprint of a standard plot, that only becomes available after a settlement has reached a certain level of maturity, but would still have the random aspect of a traditional SS plot.

"Holy cats, the Abernathys are building a cathedral!"

"Dude, that's nothing, down at Warwick, those weirdos are building a hundred-foot statue of The General out of old Cram tins."

If we get a wonder plot honestly i feel like the cost of the plot should be high and then donating to build the wonder and it shouldn't just be tied to Rotc. Any settlement should have access if built by settlers or you. Just have it based on several factors like population. food. happiness. shelter.

No need for it to be max happiness tho as it tends to be fickle and buggy. Take the water thing offline for a moment and the happiness starts to drop like a brick.

Agreed. It seems like a fun thing to do late game, once settlements have matured, giving them something cool to do.

One settler would be assigned as the architect, excess resources would be funneled to construction.

There could be plenty of idle markers for the citizens to work on the thing as it grows, then once it's completed, new markers for them to appreciate it in an appropriate fashion.

Oh, and back to the unique plots for particular settlements idea, does anyone else like to spruce up the daughter's grave at Abernathy Farm?
