Xbox settlement size

I am looking for ideal settlement sizes that other Xbox users have figured out. My largest is currently sanctuary and it has 20 people. I feel like my game crashes the most around sanctuary though. Thoughts!?

Generally, around 20-25 is the utmost limit on Xbox. Sanctuary is certainly prone to crashing, as well as Starlight and Spectacle Island if you only use a small portion of the island for your main build area. I've managed to cramp about 21 people into Castle, surprisingly that was my best settlement performance wise. Think that only crashed about 3 or 4 times compared to 10+ of the other settlements. Another oddball I've noticed, there actually seems to be a set place for crashing. If you pay attention to where you are when you crash, and replicate the position and place you're looking when it happens, if it occurs more than 3 times, walk around that spot and you may not crash.

20 is my max, but i have a few at 23-25, but that is max. Does anyone have the ideal max number of buildings per settlement with this average number? if you have a residential building plus commercial/industrial, you could have up to 50 buildings.....
