Wiki translations?

Hey people,

I was wondering if you guys intend to add different translations to the wiki, or even the main website?
I wouldn't mind translating to Portuguese.

We are looking into implementing the Translate extension and maybe the Content Translation tool for MediaWiki. We'll probably put out an official call for translators when we're ready.

I tried German once with Encarta. was fun but I didnt stick with it, I remember a few words, but i cant speak it, or read it.Could never get down the accent dialect and without that pronouncing everything just sounds wrong.

It's not an easy language. And to do it even more difficult to you, I speak "swiss-german". A strange kind of dialect even germans don't understand most of the time. German is not a language you have to know, the most importend words are fine in other languages or sounds similar ("Bier/Beer")

We just got the Translate extension installed last night. I'm going to work on some documentation and then we'll get some folks set up with permission to perform translations.
