What does this mean?

I am trying to get a handle on where I stand on the build limit, since I seem to be all over the place.
Is there a guideline for me to do my own math. (ugh)!
index.php

My guess is the first number is what I have and the second is my max?``
Is that the Vanilla number or increased size?
My build bar is setting at 50%.

Can't believe no one has any information on this command.
Whatever its does it does not seem to be affected by increasing the build limit, so I wonder if this is just a the vanilla build limit.
Or maybe it does not change due to some hidden bug which is causing peoples build limits to be wrong.
Unfortunately the world may never as any one that knows what it is has fallen off the edge of the earth.

These two variables are not well-documented that I've ever found, but they somehow combine into a black-magic soup to determine your build limit. Maxing out either one of them will max out your build limit, but I haven't been able to find any consistency in how they interact to produce build limits less than the maximum. In my experience, It's not a 50/50 split, or half the max in either would be a full bar, and I've never seen it do that. With values like you're showing, I'd usually have a full or nearly-full build limit.

I would run the 'getav' console commands to see if you get the same results as kinggath's command.

In personal builds, I use the commands listed in the above link to alter the build limit on the fly in my settlements. I'll build until the vanilla limit, and then double it. Then I build until the limit, see how the stability's doing, and either increase it some more, or rethink/cap off my build for that settlement. If you're in this month's contest, the limit is already set to the contest's maximum.

OK I ran the kg command again and got 5202 / 5000 and 1287045 / 5000000.
I then ran the getav 348/349 i got 1280743 / 9765625
and getav 34a/34b ws 5191 / 9765.
That appears to reflect the double limit set in place in the contest.
So it looks like the other command in only reporting the vanilla limit.
I am glad I decided to go with a plan C, which is actually plan A, but now that there's a plan B based off Vanilla size. It looks like I got lots of room to spare.
Thank you so much for that tip @altasilvapuer.

Okay so here's a weird thing, since my last post i have been building like crazy and I just though I would check and see what getav gave me now, the numbers are worrisome.
348/349 gave me 1178418, about 100k lower than the previous reading
34a/34b gave me 5181, exactly 100 lower than before
The numbers should have gone up, right?

I Ran a recalculate Usage from the SS holo and reran getav and the numbers came out 2271823 and 5661 respectively, so I would still appear to be in the clear. Though it is disturbing that I have to "man handle" the system to get it to stay in line.
Sorry for all the posting, just always been a documentor, hoping that others would benefit.

If you've scrapped any vanilla items (some of the scrappable junk around the island, or maybe the trees) and it had a greater impact on your build limit than whatever you put in its place, then theoretically your draws & triangles could go down. I think.
