I was debating whether I should make a thread before I was sure I'd finish in time, but I have something like eight or nine ideas roughed out in a notebook and I'm already working on Level 2 of one of them, so (knocks on wood) it seems likely I'll complete at least one.

Oh, and for this one I'm building the levels in order rather than building Level 3 and then regressing. Even knowing that this makes putting down a plot more or less the same as carving in stone once I move on to the next level, I can't tell you how much more natural this feels.

So if I'd been able to maintain the pace at which I was working when I started, this would have been great. Unfortunately, it's been about three or four weeks since I've even had a chance to look at this settlement, and there's no way I can finish the work needed in the time remaining. College sure is time consuming. :/

That's too bad to hear. I was looking forward to seeing the results of the progressive build.

I hope you can find time to finish it outside the contest sometime! I'd love to see it.

Sorry to hear of another casualty. Wouldn't want a one off competition to interfere with college work, that should be much more important in the long run.
