...SPACE!
What would you think about a VERY late game plot with rockets in mind? either as missiles which you could fire at a certain location on the map or perhaps something completely different where you could send specially trained settlers to go up in an explosive death trap (a wasteland rocket) and perhaps something would happen, perhaps a zetan invasion attack on the settlement or perhaps bringing valuable resources back.
The idea obviously seems pretty outlandish but I wanted to see what you guys think :)

You know, I've only ever seen one mod that tried to add a 'new worldspace' that was set off Earth - I believe it was the Moon?
Oh there we go.

It appears the author never went back and "finished" it with all their "planned functionality" though. I wouldn't trust it at this point.

(also props for putting a line so stupid even Tim Curry couldn't play it straight back into my mind)

Interesting! I think I saw that at a glance once. I was thinking more of Oxygen not included logic (if you’ve ever played it) where you would send residents into space and some time later they would come back with materials depending on what storage you had and how far they went. I think that would be somewhat interesting but again, very obscure and probably somewhat lore unfriendly. Also zetans deserve more love, I would love to have my settlements be invaded by them

I can actually see your idea working in a reasonably 'lore friendly' way, ok maybe not the "going to space" part but the core idea - it'd basically be a "mark 1 beacon" trip but without you having to drop the beacon in a location in the game world.
... that'd probably be pretty doable now, actually...

I would love to have a working ICBM silo. +1,000,000 defense. Lol

In FO3, you took over a Zetan spaceship in the Zeta DLC. Its too bad the FO4 one is dust, but who's to say the FO3 protag doesn't help out here? ;)

Kinggath did say that he hoped the new bethesda game set in space, would allow him to mod it.. I'm so hard hoping that Bethesda puts in settlement game-play into Starfield. My biggest hope that Todd considered this and did it, is the fact that Kinggath and his team are on such good terms with the bethesda, that bethesda themselves want to see this mod move over to Starfield.

That's my biggest hope anyway.

Based on past evidence, I would not be surprised in the slightest to see a (less interesting, but less script-intensive) "zoning system" not unlike Simsettlements's built in baseline in a Bethesda game in the future.

It's also why I'm low key expecting it. Usually how Bethesda games progress is they'll take key components of previous games and put them into their new installment, including the most popular mods.
So considering Settlement is the most popular feature of Fallout 4 + This mod + The fact that settlements would be a perfect addition to a game like Starfield with so much settling potential.. Yea.. here's to hoping!

Bethesda has a long history of taking player created mods and remaking them into vanilla content in the next itineration of the franchise. Weapon mods (attachments) come to mind. So yeah, yaugieLC, you're on to something.

So... this would mean TES VI has a giant Museum? Nice... Legacy of the Dragonborn is for every new playtrough the main go to... XD

Hi ,there's the sea monster quest where you find russian sub and you get markers for cruise missile hits , like arty but can hit anywhere

FO3 had a three part mod / adventure /quest built on the Zeta DLC. You didn't actually go to a new world space beyond Sol 3. You
help the Zata crew fix their space ship and go home.
(A police officer in Chicago, she died just before completing part 3. Her friend stepped up and finished part 3.)
And another mod, Zeta, moon base. So there is a lot of interest in space...

Zeta has a special place for me. A mod team I was with years back had expanding Zeta as one of its reach-for-the-stars goals. We were foolish enough to attempt expanding the weightlessness mechanic.
