Technical Explanation of 3.1.6 Troubles

@kinggath Any rough idea when the next update might be coming? Because none of the suggestions have helped to restore/repair any of the issues I seem to be having.

Typically two weeks after the last release.

How exactly do you roll back? I only use RotC in 2 settlements., The rest are a mixture of vanilla and SS plots (mostly farming and IDEK). Is it just a matter of un-installing 3.1.6 and installing 3.1.5?.

I'm also assuming this bug doesn't effect vanilla in anyway?

I let my game run for 9+ hours standing in a corner of Sanctuary to hopefully catch up the scripts. However even after that I still had many plots that weren't updating. A level 3 industrial and a level 3 advanced industrial never loaded in clutter and furniture, same with a logistic's station.

What if you changed the SS performance options to their lowest values (except multi-threading) and saved. I think that resets the various tasks. That'd disable many of the options such as clutter and animation. Then exit and wait a few minutes. After that set them back to the original values and exit the holotape again.

I will certainly give that a try after work and report back. Thanks for the suggestion

Actually, I've been wondering if turning down the display options before going through the post 3.1.5 upgrade would make things go faster initially. So, disable visitors, mailboxes, animations, highpoly, water planes, soundscape, etc. temporarily. Then after you make sure it's all hunky dorey turn it back up.

Between this and the newest version things are working properly again. Thanks!

The city plots in Murkwater have nothing built in them, no internal furnishings showing up, my roach farm is empty, default SS bar and farms not even showing up, and yet some of these are even level 2 by now. ASAM sensors are also long gone from the power posts. I tried following the advice that it might be scripting backlog issue and waited and idled for 2+ RL hours, leaving my character just standing there AFK and when I came back absolutely nothing has changed. I feel like nuking Murkwater to oblivion.

Hello, I just wanted to provide an update to this situation. Ever since I updated to the newly released version and ran "Refresh Local Plots" in my Murkwater, the plots got restored to working condition, some even directly to level 3 (that'a how long they been busted, since fresh placement up to now).

I don't know what sort of job you have in RL Kinggath, I'm assuming software/programming, but the work you've done since the inception of this mod and the logistics required to gather all these talented individuals should certainly land you one in the gaming industry. You certainly got some portfolio to show for it.
