I have a WIP addon that should be done enough to share by the end of the day or the end of the weekend. I'm just learning how to use SIM-S and got the first build down but still need to figure out intractables and lighting.

The theme is concrete (Wasteland Workshop) bunkers that can be placed side by side to make a wall for your base, and also to provide 3 beds per house for guards. It includes a rack of static weapons and armor for looks, uses the kgsim metal door to allow NPC walking, and it will have its own street light.

The wall it makes also extends down a full cement wall block, so you can build the homes as a second floor and it will protect the ground floor as well. Higher levels will gain turrets, 2-3 guard posts, and a spotlight.

I had to scale all the cement blocks down to 85-90%, with the door at 98%, to make this build fit within the 2x2 guides
 
This is a collection of other addons. I use almost all of them. This town kinda shows off all the city-scape styles and then RVs for the shops. It is a modded Starlight Drive-In that flattens the ground, moves the pond to the side, and removes all objects like the diner and screen.

The only thing I can make is static buildings with no doors or beds. I keep getting stuck at that part...

Will this be available for the xbxone? I like the idea of a wall where guards live. Will the guards who live there auto assign to defense on the wall? Or is it just 3 generic beds that count or don't count towards settlers having a house?

You have 2 robotics workshops in the same settlement? Do you want a robot apocalypse? because that's how you get a robot apocalypse
 
That is why the more recent ones show the one on the wall replaced by my custom SIM build. I didn't like having 2 shops with "custom" names be the same. If they had different names then I wouldn't mind 2 workshops. I always turn off "build robots" anyway.
 
What do you think of the custom defensive SIM house? I haven't figured out the beds and door yet, but I can place those myself for now.

I don't know how to do any of that, I can't even figure out how to auto add doors, but it seems like all of this is changing on the 30th (2 days) so I will probably have to completely rebuild this and see what is available then. There might even be something comparable in the main mod already. We'll see.

Look at the Furniture tutorial in the Builder's Toolkit (pdf 04). That's a really straightforward tutorial which tells you how to dynamically spawn stuff, and hasn't really changed for the new SS version. That technique works for doors and all other stuff which isnt a static and cant be included in ypur actual building model.
