Hello everyone,

I'm a fresh new user of both SIM mods and I already have a question...

I'm using quite a bunch a mods for settlments and While trying to create a settlement (sanctuary) with differents things comming from different mods, including some of SIM Inoticed something strange, a litle bit off.

So First things first, Here are ALL the mods I'm currently using for settlement and in the actual load order I'm using :
  1. Scrap everthing
  2. Better Settlers
  3. Blue Beers Vendors
  4. Busy Settlers
  5. Busy Settlers Rugs
  6. Invisible Furniture
  7. Homemaker - Extender Settlements
  8. Snap'n Build
  9. Manufacturing Extended
  10. Manufacturing Extended - Composter
  11. Manufacturing Extended - Far Harbor Addon
  12. Uncapped Settlments Surplus
  13. Uncapped Nuka World Tribute Chest
  14. Settlement Menu Manager
  15. Do it yourshelf - clutter for shelves and bookxases
  16. Experiments Unleashed
  17. Hangman's Allex Interior Apartments
  18. Thematic and Practical
  19. Settlements Keywords Expanded
  20. NorthlandDiggers
  21. OCDecorator
  22. Warehouse Shelves for Components and Ammo
  23. SnapBeds
  24. Settlements Expanded
  25. Settlement Management Software
  26. Housekeeping
  27. Conquest
  28. Sim Settlements
  29. Sim Settlements revolution
A litle note I am aklso using those two in that specific order but they are WAY up in my load order :
  • Multiple Floors Sandboxing
  • Settler Sandbox Overhaul
In sancturay I builded :
  • A two floor house with the barn prefabs and put beds on the second floor for Garvey, mama Murphy, Stuges and Marcy and her husband (I forgot his name...)
  • I used the stairs from the Barn prefab for access to the second floor
  • Three garden plot from SIM
  • One Martial plot from SIM
  • One wood defense barricade from the vanilla game
  • two "plots" from thematic and practical
When I used the holotape to configure Sim here are the options I selected :
  1. I Don't mid a challenge, as long as it's fun
  2. Finding the balance required to create a successful city as it grows and evolves
  3. let Sim settlements handle idle settlers only
  4. let me choose upgrade paths
  5. For as much as physically possible
  6. Don't notify me, I'll just check my settlements periodically
Now here are the "things" that I think were off :
  • The three person (Mama Murphy, Mary and her husband) assigned to farm, well, THEY FARMED, from morning to night, non stop, they never went to sleep, they just farm continuuously non stop
  • I assigned Sturges to the defense barricade from the vanilla game but he never went to it, he just wander endlessly in sanctury, and he also never went to sleep
  • I assigned Garvey to the martial plot, I saw him going to it, standing still for a moment, making round in sanctury and going back to the plot, but then again he also never went to sleep.
Since I couln't wrap my mind around it, just for testing, I loaded a savev state before construction anything in sanctury, uninstall SIM and SIM industrial revolution, builded plain simple prefab wooden houses and barricade defenses, farming plots, assigned everyone to a task and a bed, and then everyone went to his/her task as intended, as for the sleeping matter I haven't tested to not sleep just to see if everyone go to hisher assigned bed.

I'm prety sure I'm making something wrong here, maybe in the load order, or something else.
So if anyone can help me found what's wrong I will be very gratefull.

A final note, I don't think there is any influence in this, but I'm playing in survival difficulty.

P.S. : I did make a research to see if anyone made a similar post but did'nt find any, so if I'm posting at the wrong place, sorry
P.S.S. : my mother language is not english, so if I made some writting or other king of mistake, please, bear with me...

Sanctuary's navigation breaks pretty easily if you use any scrap mods. It's probably the most problematic of settlements that way. Named settlers are also problematic in general, they rarely maintain ownership of the things you give them- so you're getting hit by two problems at once.

If you really want navigation to work well, you have to eliminate mods like scrap everything and make liberal use of stairs.

Ever tried Tidy settlers in place of scrap everything? they clean up the place instead of you, but it takes a few days for them to completely clean up everything around the trashcan that they're using. They get rid of things like grass, etc without upsetting the navigation.
I've been using it with sim settlement so far, and I haven't noticed any mod conflicts with it.

Kinggath : okay I didn't know that about named settlers and about scrap everthing
Aurora Moon : Thanks a lot, I'm going to try that one right away. Since I play in survival mode, every travel is made by foot so the few days of delay is not a big deal

Tank's a lot to both of you

Aside from the Sim Settlements mods, I use NONE of those mods, but I have problems like that in my other settlements. With regular settlers.
They clump about and are up all night with you unless you go to bed.
