wasnt sure where to post this, so here goes.\

for some reason i cant relay into the institute with ss turned on, if i turn it off along with a heap of other mods it lets me relay in, but after i'm done with the institute, i reenable SS but it's no longer functioning, the holotape is there but it's not showing up in the workshop menu.. basically it's not reinjecting back into my save game,..

any suggestions please?

oh, no.
with the exception of what folks call a "clean save" which may not what it really sounds like.
You should never remove a mod once it has been enabled. If you do, you can go back to a save point before you installed it and uninstall it. then play forward.

here you disabled and played forward?. now want to re-enable?. it does not work that way. If it did you would be really lucky.

To get things working you would need to go back find the real issue preventing you from teleporting.

Someone else may have a trick to "reinject it back in" I don't

You still could maybe troubleshoot from the point you disabled everything.

thanks for the post, until i can figure out what is causing it, the institute quest line is off limits... it may not be SS, it maybe something else,, i just needed to know if there is a way to either reinject SS or a way to completely remove SS and then reinstall it...

Without knowing your game I will really be struggling here. :scratchhead

If you have the save when you first noticed the problem I would start the mod-troubleshooting drill there from the perspective of disabling everything but SS and if that works then work back from there.

I know I have seen posts where folks disable Sim Settlements. I have never done so in frankly 1000s of in-game hours but if I remember "which I may not" it is to :focusscrap all Sim Settlement assets first.

As-is: you may need to use a menu repair tool. In order to get the sim-menus back if you try to reinject. If you are using Settlement Menu Manager please see that page for the usage if its tool.

Lastly, in hope of saving your save file please see:

Section #5 :declare
https://www.simsettlements.com/site/index.php?threads/pc-help-page-_-basic-guide-and-links.5982/

Given what you do with the other mods should you find the one with the problem and it isn't some sort of save file corruption then you may need to do some cleaning.

:dance I am sorry.

hi cheers for the reply, i've started a new game, i hadnt considered the recovery path.. bugger.. oh well i'll revisit again soon. thanks for the reply

For the above, you turned off a heap of mods, means that you progress without any of them, which is as @RayBo said, bad idea and not just SS to worry about.

Did you just start a new game, if so, the old saves maybe still there?

I have to be honest, as i always am, starting right from the beginning rather then jumping back to the save before you entered the Institute seems a bit extreme and there are ways to explore and screw thegame to hell without screwing the game to hell, seems odd you might thing, but its called backing up.

How we test stuff. Take a save just before it went wrong, cut and paste that save and all before to a folder named Backup Saves

Clean out the Saves folder - If or course the saves after are the bad ones. No copy the last save that worked from your Backup Folder to your save folder. Switch off all mods, test. Enable a few - test, Disable those and enable a few more - Test. Do this till you find the batch, then do a break down, of that batch, till you got the one causing the issue.

If its an easy one to uninstall (Read Mod Page), do it, clean out all saves in Save Folder, Copy Saves from Backup and go for it.

If its a difficult one, you can, still using the old saves (not doing the step above) uninstall andf use Fallrim tools to clean. Run the game for a while, use Fallrim to check, if it looks stable, do the delte/replace above. Of course you weill have to use Fallrim again on the last save you copied over, but by now you will be used to Fallrim and do it will easy.
