settlement attacks

I haven't played for a few months and restarted a new game but for some reason all my settlements keep getting attacked. I know there was a option in settlement 1 that you could turn off attacks, but can't find one in settlements 2 - i have looked everywhere, am i missing something?? Thanks in advance.

I don't remember any such option in SS1, and there's definitely not one in SS2.
You could always try using something like "Uncapped Settlement Surplus" mod and turning them off from that.

I'd actually swear the rate of attacks with SS2 installed (outside of other mods deliberately affecting it) has gone way DOWN for me.

I turn the vanilla ones off using Uncapped Settlement Surplus, and use SKK50s Settlement Attack System. SKK50s mod has an option to turn off the vanilla ones as well, but it was unreliable when I tried it. The one in Uncapped Settlement Surplus is much more solid.

If your getting attacked it’s cause your defense is significantly less then your food water and power ratings. Add a few turrets or an extra defense plot to stop this. This is a 100% base game thing nothing ss2 related unless your thinking conquers then it had a few settings for attacks but those where scripted attacks not base game stuff.
