Saving (quick or manual) causes a freeze/crash when in Concord

I can save in Sancutary just fine. Up until just past Red Rocket. Right before you get to the first house you can loot on the right. Have tried it several times and always freezes/crashes. Not great.

*Edit: I can save once I leave the Concord area. Dunno what it is about Concord that is causing the issue but it wasn't happening before I updated and installed SS2 Chapter 2.

Edit 2: Welp...this is now happening in Sanctuary. Going to have to stop playing until this gets fixed.

I don't know if its the same freezing as you. Saving doesn't hard crash. But I noticed a freeze happening to me today when manual saving, saw the Windows loading cursor. Took 30-40 seconds to make the save. I am about level 18 in this save, about 16 hours in. 30mb ish save size.

Well, good that I'm not the only one. I had no problems in Concord but now in Sanctuary, manual saves takes 30 seconds to save.
What I know so far:
  • It's a new game. Same load order as my previous one. The only difference is SS2 updates and Chapter 2.
  • I left the vault, went to Sanctuary, started SS2 questline, Red Rocket, Concord, back to Sanctuary.
  • As soon as I entered Sanctuary I got the message that someone was sick. I had probably 2 settlers there due to building the recruitment beacon to start SS2.
  • I proceed with SS2 quest until Old Paul appears. Then I use the town gavel to find the diseased settler. In that moment, Lily answered the gavel (didn't even know she was there) but she hadn't started dialogue with me yet. Only some time after I use the gavel to send them all back to work is that she comes to me to present herself.
  • Between Old Paul's appearance and Old Paul + Lily conversation about kicking the ASAM, something happened and now saves takes 30-40 seconds to make.
  • I'm 5-6h in.
  • If I load a save before that, even after Old Paul appearance, it saves fine with <1 second. Load another save after that again, problem happens again. So whatever happened, it isn't the engine session (I restarted the game to be sure) but something that happened/corrupted the save and it's coming from SS2.
  • Based on the reports here on this thread and also on this one, it doesn't seem that what triggered the issue for me (Old Paul -> Lily) is actually what's triggering for everybody, since they seem to have happened during different places and times. I suspect something loose is flooding the save with something. I can provide the save if someone wants to take a look in ReSaver.
EDIT: Checking in Resaver, I can see there's 200.000+ Struct Instances (in both the "broken" and "healthy" saves). I don't know if that value is normal, but the vast majority of them comes from SS2 and WSFW (but in truth I'm not running any other quest mods and a fairly light load order).
