Salvador still has some serious Pathfinding issues (using All Chapter Pack v3.2.0)

I'll make this quick, recently, I started a new game with SS2 just to actually finish the story, for the most part, Chapters 1 and 2 where fine apart of some minor bugs, usual Random CTDs after developing settlements and Runners and Gunners not ending because it didn't give you the final objective (leave the vault).
When I started Chapter 3, more and worse bugs started appearing (afaik the farthest I went into Chapter 3 story was "State of war" and I perfectly remember I was stuck for almost 2-3 Real Life days on "Art of War" because of the same bug I'm gonna report)

basically the bug is located on "Me and This Army" quest when you need to follow salvador to the near bridge and he stops close to a tree near egrets tour. my main problem with this bug (and I hope the same one with Art of War was already fixed) is that It's been there since the release of the Chapter 3 more than 4 months ago. Basically Salvador is the single most broken NPC of the entire mod and I don't know why these gamebreaking bugs hasn't been fixed already.

I love Sim Settlements 2, but for the love of god, Chapter 3 is the worst chapter in terms of gamebreaking bugs and problems, sometimes making it unplayable and very frustrating
 
okey, after some research (and a lot of trial and error) I've just found what I'll call a "death zone" where Salvador's Scripted Pathfinding somehow breaks, I post a series of images of the borders of this death zone

the only solution I found that really worked is with the following mod and steps
-First, Install the mod Get Out of my Face and preferably the MCM patch
-next, you configure the mod with level 3 and 10 push power
-save the game after you start following Salvador
-wait for him on this dark burnt tree

then start pushing him trying to surround the zone from the south
This two fallen trees mark the limit of the zone

if Salvador ends on the zone and stops moving, you need to reload the last save and start the Pushing process again (it can take some attempts because he will try really hard to get stuck in the zone)

this is the only zone that can be called "safe" because Salvador will go to the center of the image and then resume his normal path course to the bridge

and Lastly, the safest (and I believe the only one) route to evade the Death Zone, the blue circle marks the burned tree, on red, the zone that you must evade and on white a simplification of the route itself

this method needs more testing but it's a lot better than the other methods I've seen on the forum
I hope this helps the people who are going to be stuck on this quest before they finally fix this bug
 
The reason I asked is because this issue hasn't been replicable in any of the testing phases, so it is likely a mod conflict, particularly if there are trees, rocks or other features that interrupt the natural pathing.
 
For the record and potential identification of incompatibilities, I experience a similar issue, if not exactly the same. As far as texture packs go and other potential landscape changing mods, I have FO4Seasons (coincidentally tried with both spring-thaw and summer variants) and PRP (0.69).

[Update 2024-01-19] I am pleased to report that Salvador pathed beautifully through the area with version 3.2.1 -- and possibly an updated PRP.

I encountered this as well and used this fix. I quick traveled to Fallon's and then ran back towards Egrets landing. As I approached Egrets Salvador was running down the road towards the bridge. I used this multiple times while trying to figure out Art and War problems.

Thanks for pictures they helped but you could also just use console by click on him and then just type "moveto player" near the burnt tree which worked for me
 
I'm stuck on this quest with him just standing on the dam bridge staring at the police base. I have a mod for egret that cleans it up real nice and generated precombines and I also have a mod that drops all the big bridges down and cleans them mostly so anyone can use them. Salvador stands on the bridge just fine... oh he can get there just fine no problem but after handing me some binocs and asking me to tag stuff he just goes on and on about tagging things. I tagged ALL enemy npcs it didn't matter the quest is just stuck.

Mark the pier then press the button to reset what you mark it should then give you a tutorial notification about marking things then just pick one of the options and the quest should continue after that. Then after that just tag everything again
 
I found another post around here that suggested I not have any kind of flare gun in my inventory before meeting this npc or flare ammo and this worked for me. I still had to get too close to the gunners to tag three of them but managed to escape their attention and finish the quest.
