Question Safe to reload during initial setup?

Conqueror takes hours to set up and I usually play quite risky early on since I'm used to fully leveled up builds resulting in lots of silly deaths. After the first reload Conquerors progress vanished. It was at Stage 4/4 ~25%.
Did I break the initial setup or is it safe to continue playing?

It should be safe , the progress bar may not return if you leave the game but it is still running .

It does seem I broke something.
Starting the RotC Sanctuary plan has the game freeze with black screen when it should start building foundations.
Red Rocket worked fine however.

Sanctuary should be avolded for pre built cities as it can break stuff. since its a majpr quest hub its best to wait till all quest are done there before building.

Without Conqueror I had no problem manually starting the normal RotC Sanctuary plan right after getting Codsworth as follower while skipped Preston entirely to get NukaWorld Perks first.

Some conqueror generated settlements seem to havn't been cleaned up properly. In RotC Starlight "my bed" is clipped with the shelves. But so far none of them crashed me.

Edit2: Something definitely is broken in my game. Going near Oberland crashes to desktop.
I was able to build up all settlements to lvl3 with RotC before.
Should I attach a log or the save?

Here you go.
the scripts are fairly short.
All it contains is loading to Red Rocket, fast traveling to Greygarden walking over to Oberland and crashing.

If you are looking to save time and not worry about doing pre-building..

it possible you are getting the old broken plot bug,
make sure you are using 4.0.9

also try one of MrCjohns saves and see if you have the same issue

I was using 4.0.9 all default settlements with RotC lvl1 plans.
Didn't have time so far to test MrCjohns saves or different/fewer building plans.

Update:
I just tried again letting Conqueror build only RotC Oberland on lvl1 got near the settlement and it crashed again.

After updating to Conqueror 4.0.10, SimSettlements 4.0.10 and Workshop Framework 1.1.6 I'm happy to report both my issues are gone.
Conqueror built RotC Oberland no longer crashes to desktop.
Starting Building in Sanctuary no longer freezes the game in a black screen when it should place foundations.
